The two sides are very far apart, and if a new deal isn't reached by Feburary 1st, the US will use replacement players in the first game of the final round of WCQs against Trinidad. If there is a strike, no player who has ever played for the national team before would play in the game, and it is likely that we would use A-League players and Players from Lower Divisions in Europe. To me, it looks like the USSF is being cheap. I don't want to see a strike, but when you look at the profits that the USSF is bringing in, our players are being underpaid.
