Question About Different Type of Leagues...

I play in a league that starts-(QB,RB,RB,WR,WR,WR,TE,K,DEFENSE), but I see people who talk about having a DL,LB,S,CB in addition to the offensive players and team defense, how does that point system work and where are these leagues located?

In Yahoo, which is all I know... If you play with defensive players rather than defensive teams it works something like this:

Example - You get two Ds, two DLs and two DBs.

D = DL/LB/CB/S
DB= CB/S
DL= DL/LB

You get points for:

Solo Tackles/Assist Tackles/Pass Deflections/Blocked Kicks/Return Yards/Return TDs/Defensive TDs/INTs/Sacks/Fumbles Forced/Fumble Recovered.

That about sums it up..
