Gary Fitzgerald, of Redskins.com, reports the Washington Redskins have released RB Chad Morton. Morton met with head coach Joe Gibbs on Thursday, June 2 and was informed of the team's decision to release him. Morton was optimistic that he would land with another team by late July, when training camps around the league typically start.

Not surprised. We definitely don't need him that's for sure, but I'm sure he'd be a nice pickup Special Teams wise for someone despite coming off a poor performance last year. Well it's official... both the Mortons are GONE!
