Mr. Kutaragi tried to interest Mr. Jobs in adopting the Cell chip, which is being developed by I.B.M. for use in the coming PlayStation 3, in exchange for access to certain Sony technologies. Mr. Jobs rejected the idea, telling Mr. Kutaragi that he was disappointed with the Cell design, which he believes will be even less effective than the PowerPC.

All I have to say is holy crap....It's kind of funny... there was so much hype on the PS3. Then it died down when everyone found otu everything was fake (not so much it was fake, but they said the footage was real time). Sony just gave out dev kits a few weeks before, yet they showed footage that would have taken months.

The main rumor is the PS3 is having heating issues, and the CP is incredibily difficult.
