RDS comments on unofficial dolfans retiring

glad to be back dolfan folks. hope everyone had a great holiday.

noticed another dolfan has retired on this site....

come on folks... does make for good humor, but I feel i'm being made of some type of mockery here. nice job copying my website speech..

i take being dolfan stan 1981 - 2007 very seriously.

the way I see it is you have to actually be a part of miami dolphins history to be retired.

for some examples..

be involved in the dolphins booster club for the 1970's, be in TV and radio commercials for the dolphins, donate your time to the community, help raise money for the miami project and cystic fibrosis foundations in south florida, season ticket holder, attend 95% of home games, have your club activities before the games, website would also help. be a sponsor in dolphin digest, actually be on the field for some home games, also hold pep rallys on weekends in south & central florida sports bars like i did for many years.

also attend charities with other dolphin players and coaches to raise money for children with disabilities.

be a role model for dolfan kids, I can go on and on..

these dolfan mascot, past and future legends fit that bill only. total of 7


1. ) dolfan denny ( dennis sym ) 1970 - 1999.... has since past, and was a great friend who showed me how to be dolfan stan.

first of all old buddy, it's legend, not legand, Nippy

second I never considered myself better then the next dolfan.

i just happened to be at the right place at the right time, and the rest was history.

zelousy is a terrible thing...

i've had my share ups and downs during my 27 years.

just comes with the territory.


i still enjoy sharing my stories with other dolfans who respect me outside this site. brings me great pleasure sharing with others.


just the other night in lauderdale on holiday, met some great dolfan folks at the rustic inn who remembered dolfan stan, and we talked a while about the old days.

IS the mythic RDS afraid of a little competition? I'm sorry but ROP might just be the greatest, official retired dolfan ever. Not a part of the Miami Dolphins? Ummm, you do realize it was Opie who convinced Shula to draft Marino, who co-wrote Ace Ventura, who hand selected Jimmy Johnson's dandruff shampoo, who combed dave wannstedt's moustache every single day! The AP report on him says he's good-to-go for the Ring of Fame! As RDS once said, zelousy is a terrible thing...


I think a certain legendary, retired Dolfan is afraid to admit he is #2 at best in terms of Dolfan history.
