Every team Parcells has coached, Giants, Patriots, Jets and Cowboys, have averaged nearly 7 wins in their 1st. year with him at the helm. He's not the coach, but he's still running the show....

I think 7-9 wins is the probable range, anything is possible though, thats what makes each year interesting.

One thing that I LOVE is that we are getting NO, ZIP, NADA attention from the media. Pennington new Phinz starter? COMPLETE after though on PTI, Sportscenter, and NFL Live. We are going to turn heads.

I really think the first four games will decide the rest of the season. If we go 4-0, we're going deep in the playoff. If we go 3-1 or 2-2 you can guess that a playoff run is probable. 1-3 or 0-4........ the season will be shot because 99% of fans will be calling for Penny's head and we will already be far behind.

I still look for us to pick up a receiver (a veteran) that gets cut from some other team... watch.

Why is that not a reasonable expectation. I tell you what's not reasonable and I cannot find any logic behind the loser mentality alot of us fans are suffering from.

If the Cowboys can go 1-15 and win the SB then why in the hell cant we? The Panthers went 1-15 and had a great season the next year. If I say we are going 12-4 we are going 12-4. You better get with it.

After going 1-15 the Cowboys went 7-9, and won the superbowl 2 seasons later.
After going 1-15 the Panthers went 7-9 and were superbowl runners-up a season later.

I can't fault the enthusiasm, but fans who say Miami are going to get about 6-8 wins are being cautiously optimistic and acknowledge the rebuilding process doesn't happen overnight.

Just because someone doesn't believe then Miami will go 12-4 does not mean that they don't support the team, just that they have more grounded expectations.

Why not weirder things have happened in NFL.
However
The main weaknesses are: Pass Rush(LB???), No depth in OL, Penny always getting hurt and the inexpirience and fatigue will hit the rookies.
However
For the first time in long time it is exciting to watch the dolphins, especially on offence. Penny makes this offence good just because of experience and smarts on the field.
