I interviewed Chris Overholt last year for a blog I did and specifically asked him that question. Chris is the VP of Marketing and Partnerships for the Dolphins. He told me that there was no planned changes to the logo or colors. He pointed out to me that the team was overhauling sections of the stadium and that they had ordered very high end items that bore the Dolphins logo and the team colors and then showed me how the stadium logo incorporated the team logos as well. He said that teams will sometimes make minor changes to the uniforms but that teams needed league approval for major changes of any type.

I tend to believe him as I saw with my own eyes the changes being made at the stadium with the signage. Personally, I wish he would have said they were going back to the old logo. I hate the cartoon Dolphin.

I have a feeling that if we don't improve drastically over the next few years our logo will look something like this.....

Overvalued due to the falsehood cheating brings with it.

Ugh.. the logo debate. Over the years I'vd heard many good suggestions. What I don't get is.. Does the Dolphin really need to wear a helmet?

?? - It's football, why wouldn't he wear a helmet? The real question is, where is his facemask?

On Wikipedia it says that "In February 2007, it was announced that the Dolphins would make slight alterations to their uniforms. The navy blue outline on the Dolphins numbers will be thinned in hopes of making them easier to read for viewers. Despite this news and contrary to rumors, the Dolphins have no plans to change the team's logo."

So YOU are responsible for this..... >=/

Our Dolphins have had some changes to the logo while changing as little as possible at the same time. I say just scrap the whole thing and finally unleash this beast like they should have back in 1997....

COME ON GUYS!!! LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!

Awful! Absolutely awful.

the thing that bother me is how many fans want
us to have ORANGE uniforms!!!

not only is that fruity, but it make us look like
the old buccaneers! and no one was unhappy
in bucsville when they got rid of all that orange.

now, the one i like, if change be, was the ones
that were worn on the monday night game 4
years ago when ricky shredded the bears, those
DARK GREEN unis! now THOSE made us look tough!!

very intimidating look. and the sacred fish logo was still
on the helmet and looked good with the unis.

home unis could be the darker jerseys with the white pants
and dark jersys having some aqua in the numbers.

but that orange would just make us look like west hollywoods
hi school team!!
