Any news on Boston?

not just the fins, but I haven't seen anything on Boston. Are any teams interested in him? has he been visiting anbody? Did anyone make him an offer? Just seems odd that the bigest FA Wr out there and there is no news..

That's it? that's all the news? I wonder if his asking price will start dropping if there is not much intrest. Or are we just not hearing about it? Is every one scared off because they think he is asking too much? we really need to bring this guy in and make an offer.. If he doesn't take it, no harm. but we should feel it out.

Well a post on another mboard says that the Ravens have bowed out b/c Boston has two strikes against him for substance abuse. He will be suspended for 1/4 of next season and if he gets a third strike is out of the league and any team he is with will lose him w/o compensation. This has not been confirmed by the Ravens.

I have been a strong proponent for signing Boston but if this true he is not worth big money.

maybe we really can get him cheap. That would suck though if he gets kicked out of the league... is that really the rules? or just some MB talk.

Those are the rules. Although I seem to remember Lett getting in trouble, getting suspended and returning several times. There are ways to apply for readmission. Maybe those are lax.

No one will be willing to break the bank on Boston but I'm not sure the Dolphins are intrested in Boston period.

According to ESPN.com's Insider (Rumor Central), the Falcons, Redskins, and Tardinals are the only ones interested in Boston at this point, and the Falcons appear to be more interested in Price (why, I can't imagine.) Baltimore also is mentioned, but they're supposedly waiting until later in the FA period before courting him.

I'm actually shocked that there hasn't been a ton of interest in this guy from all over the league. That whole DUI/Drug incident, coupled with his injury from last season really must have scared some teams away. I guess we'll just have to wait and see (the story of a 'Fin-fan's life
