The only member of the Has Been/Never Was Over-The-Hill-Gang I could have been interested in would have been Jake Plummer, but aside from having to pay something to TB for his rights assuming his enthusiasm was resurrected, his scrambling play action style does not lend itself to the smash mouth offense we aspire to become.

Beyond him, I'm not a big fan of recycling another team's crap, no matter how smart they are or how short the transition might be.

I know he is old and he used to torture us (I would still have atough time rooting fo the guy), but ist is the perfect scenario. he has experience and could probably still play. Plus he was with Parcells almost his entire career (save for a couple seasons in Buffalo and his time with Belichick) so he would be familiar with the system (Parcells is not the HC but make no mistake this is his team). He could provide leadership to our young QB's. I was talking witha guy at work several months ago and mentioned this as apossibility. That said, I am more than happy we picked up Chad Pennington to fill this role.

Funny you brought that up. I was just talking with my co-workers today about the same thing. Yeah, I am a little surprised he didn't try to get Bledsoe here soon after he was hired. I am very happy to have Pennington here though, and MUCH prefer Penny than Drew. I hope Henne wins the training camp battle next year and starts.

Pleeeez.. kindly have a little respect. First it's Y.A. Tittle.. and I think my dad loved him even more than he did my mother.. so I do know something about Yelverton Albert. If we could find someone half as good as he was at the time he was dealt to the Giants, I'd get rid of ALL our QBs in a heartbeat!

Exactly what I was thinking...I think it was the Dolphins D that used regularly torture Bledsoe. Pennington did more "torturing" of our D than Drew ever did.
