100000000000000000000% for.
I've been accused of being very negative this offseason by predicting another horrible showing by the Dolphins. I'm tired of losing and the lack of veteran leadership on offense had me in the dumps. I almost saw this entire season like one big preseason workout...
With Chad at the helm at least I have HOPE that we can win some games, hope that we can become a respectable franchise, while grooming either Beck or Henne to be something special next year.

Chad gives us hope. How many of you have hope that we will win games this year given the current state of our QB situation. How many of you want to endure another 6-10 season, a 1-15 season or a 4-12 season? 3 out of our last 4 seasons have been disasters, I want to have hope this year that we can win games. Maybe we do, or maybe we don't but the odds are a lot higher if we can bring in a proven commodity (if healthy) that can win some games for us with his head and decision making.

Sign him, none of our prospective QBs inspire much confidence.

Why wouldn't or shouldn't we bag on Pennington as being the QB of a division rival? Truth of the matter is, he kicked our ***** the past 5 years, and very likely represents an upgrade at at least one of the 3 QB slots we'll carry.

Yeah, he's retarded.

Despite the arm, the guy has managed to win games in this league and lead teams to the playoffs. LOL at the tutoring comment. He's a Rhodes Scholar, one of if not the smartest player in the league.

MCCown is just an all around scrub

I originally voted no. After thinking about it a little, it might serve as payback to the AFC East if the fins signed him, not trade for him and get some Jets insider information. The rest of the division has done that to Miami for years. I don't want to see him ever play a down as a Dolphin though.

You're the one that wouldn't let him tutor your nephew.

I guess letting a bright minded, good decision maker run the offense is a bad idea.

But guys like Ray Lucas don't have big ears!! And they look like better QB's. And they aren't noodle armed!! Cmon who needs a QB with a high football IQ, all you need is someone that looks the part like Jeff George!!!

We don't need him... we are not a QB away from winning the SB. I would rather give playing time to Beck or Henne and let them learn and improve.

Signing him would take away the vertical threat of Ted Guinn...

Have you guys seen him last year?? he sucked *** big time

I dunno. I guess I waffle on this. He does have a good play-fake in his arsenal. He might not be so good at getting the ball there, but it's a good play-fake. Plus if the ground game is successful then he doesn't need to forces passes.

Tough. John Beck should ideally beat him anyway.

he majored in broadcast journalism... he was a rhodes scholar finalist... doesn't make him a talented quarterback. plenty of quarterbacks out there that weren't rhodes scholars won the superbowl and led offenses better than he does. wheres ur point become any more favorable than mine? just having a quarterback thats a rhodes scholar doesn't make him any more talented at football than a guy like mccown. im not for mccown, never have been, nor will i ever be for pennington.

He outperformed all of Miami's then and current QBs in pretty much every appreciable way save for rushing TDs.

I see the reality of this is hitting you... You started out totally against the move. Can't you see that he brings stability to a team that is lacking true leaders on BOTH sides of the ball... CK we need this real bad... And this is coming from someone that a few weeks was ready to start a rookie at QB.
