Backups may determine our successLooking at our roster there are alot of key players on this team trying to overcome some tough injuries and as the season wears on these injuries will be tested:
C. Pennington(Double rotator cuff shoulder):Known to flare up on him & at this point Henne still looks to green. So for all the people bashing guys like McCown/Beck they very well could end up our starter. J.Porter(Knee & back):Already starting to wig out and it has been stated he might be done. How well a guy like Charlie Anderson plays may mean alot. R.Brown(knee):Sparano states he still needs to learn to trust the knee and then he had the setback with the finger injury.Cobbs or Parmele may have to pick up the slack. R.Williams(anxiety):With Ricky how well he can control his social anxiety always looms and the fact that he hasn't played a full season of contact in a while might take a toll and especially in a ground & pound type offense which requires lots of carries which is something he wasn't fond of early in his career. Parmele may be thrust into the spotlight. Y.Bell(achilles):Known as a very tough injury to come back from. How a guy like C. Bryan plays might mean alot. All these players are dynamic type players to our team and I am not discrediting all the hard work they are putting in to return to their old form and I hope they can all overcome. However with the toughness of the league and nagging injuries I think alot of our success will be determined by our backups and supporting cast. I think we got some talent in these backup spots and some guys that will suprise. Watch out for these players that people tend to overlook, underrate or tend to dog because they aren't the big guns because they may be our saviors.

I think Brown is traded at the end of this season. Porter may call it quits as well. Henne might start mid season. Bell I think is a pro bowl saftey if he can stay healthy. One thing is for sure with this new Front Office, if you are injured alot, you will not be here.

this is a great question.the only way in hell we trade ronnie is becouse of the new rookie parm.but to do this they must feel is a no#1 type back and not just a back up to ricky.you dont trade your injured no 1 back ,unless someone can fill that roll for the next 4 years.we will know more after this season.but ronnie would bring a 1st rnd pick.giving us 2-1st and 2 -2nd round picks.i just hope ronnie gets 100% healthy by the mid way point of the season and finishes strong
