The Oakland Raider's QB Jamarcus Russell, the 1st pick of the 2007 draft, was very underwhelming in his two starts at the end of last year. Approximately 55% passing, 2 TDs and 4 Ints. It appears he isn't developing fast enough. Based on the Beck haters logic, the Raiders should just cut Russell. Give me a break. It often takes many years to develop a good starting NFL QB. In fact, Marino is the only NFL QB I can remember over the past 30+ years who really played awesome (not just serviceable) his rookie year, and he was a very rare talent. Give Beck 3 full years, and if he still is having trouble, then get rid of him.

Years that Beck doesn't have. He's already 27...Depending how what you meant by "many", he could be 30 or 31 before he finally "develops into a good starting NFL QB." Henne is the future at the position. Period. Beck might go else where and, who knows, maybe in 3 or 4 years he's a great QB. But I for one would rather have a great QB who can man this offense for 10-15 years...not 3 or 4.

I don't think we should cut Beck yet, he just released a new album about a month ago i believe, so he's still showing some promise.
