if you get to the point where you're 3rd string QB is playing, you really don't need to worry about his skill.
I seem to recall a couple of times when the Phins had to rely on a 3rd string QB.
Steve DeBerg had to come in when Marino and Scott Mitchell went down.
Shula set the record for most career wins in Philly using his 3rd string QB, I believe it was Doug Pederson (?)

That does it...I'm finding a bomb shelter. This HAS to be one of the final signs of the Apocalypse.

it seems fairly obvious to me that even if Beck makes the team, there is almost ZERO chance that he ever does anything significant for the Dolphins. Pennington is obviously the present and Henne has looked like he could be the future. If we can trade him for a 6th or higher, I'd do it and bring in anyone as the third QB (yes, even Quincy).

I still don't think that Beck is a known quantitiy....he might be as bad as he's looked in his very limited oppritunities, or could still turn out to be a good player in this league....it's just that I don't see that answer ever coming here under current circumstances. If we can be reasonably compensated, it's probably best for both sides to move on at this point.

those were different teams. they were more complete from top to bottom. if this team gets to it's third string QB...it's not gonna matter much whether it's a top of the line 3rd stringer, or a bottom of the barrell third stringer.....it won't be pretty either way.

Is Ronnie Brown on the auction block? Ted Ginn, Vonnie Holiday, Channing Crowder, Chad Henne? Yes, everyone in on the auction block for the right price, lets not act like it's simply the players you don't want on the roster.

A.J. Feeley in Philadelphia. ...I think I just threw up a little in my mouth for writing that.

I'm sure there have been more recent examples, but that's not that long ago.

So you took the 'no one was safe' and made the 'beck out/quincy in' title?
