Cleo can stay our backup that would be fine with me, but...............when we were sitting at number 9 with Brady Quinn staring us in the face, does ANYONE wish we still would have picked him???? I think that might have been Cam's biggest mistake, I think that if we had Quinn there would be no QB controversy AGAIN THIS YEAR! Because from what I seen last year, Mr. Beck sure never made me feel confident when he went into the game, I do know that much.
I'm not a Quinn hater, and, honestly, theres no way to judge him as an nfl quarterback yet as he hasn't really had much time on the field either. However, imagine we had drafted quinny boy, and we still went 1-15 (which i think is a fairly safe assumption would have happened, because we know how much cam loved beck and yet still was smart enough not to start him til towards the end of the season. so the same you can assume would have happened to brady and at that point in the year with this horrendous team i doubt quinn would have fluorished either)
SO. i think we'd in fact be in the same boat right now, but contemplating spending 'another' first round pick on a QB after we 'wasted one' on quinn the year before, and there'd still be a huge QB controversy, perhaps even a more heated one, purely for the reason that quinn would have been a struggling #9 pick instead of a struggling #40ish pick.

again this is all assuming that one of the main reasons beck struggled is because of timing, his supporting cast, and pressure to 'win one'. i'm not saying under different circumstances beck would have necessarily shone, after all, he was a rookie..

When it's 4th and goal and you don't get to paydirt, it's a turnover. The fact that he'd rather duck out of bounds then make an attempt to get to the pylon absolutely makes him a pansie.

I noticed that no-one else has answered this, so I'll give it a whirl for ya: OG Liwienski, C/OG Mruczkowski, OL Ndukwe, OT Rosenthal, DL Page, LB Pope, LB Spragan, CB Lehan, S Bell, S Schulters, and last & least, S Tillman.

Then we have the RFA's and ERFA's:RB Chatman, RB Gado and OT Lekkerkerker as RFA's. The ERFA's are: RB COBBS and WR Camarillo.

Of these, I expect at least 8 to make other teams rosters as back-ups and S/T pplayers next year. So we may just squeeze 1 or 2 comp. picks out of them.

Hope this answers you question.

I've never been a big fan of Lemon. While I see he has the physical attributes to be a decent QB, every time I watch him play I see his lack of mental ability to be a decent QB. Comparing him to some of our past QBs, I'd have to rank him along the likes of AJ Feeley. Basically...a poor mans Jay Fiedler. And that says a lot.

The only players we should look at re-signing are Hadnot, Chatman, Pope, Bell and Lehan. The rest can leave.

Pope may NOT be re-signed simply because at 5'11" 230 he doesn't fit the mold of a Parcells LB

But he is one of our best S/Ters. Also, I would re-think signing Bell. He'll be 30 y/o and is coming back from Achilles surgery. Will he even be able to walk without a limp, much less run and cut like he needs to. Remember how bad Dan hobbled around after his Achilles surgery?
Hadnot, it will depend on whether he will accept a reasonable contract.Lehan is a good possibility, Chatman could also be a good possibility.
I would add Page to the list to be re-signed. Remember, before his injury he was one of the bright spots on a lackluster DL.
