I ain't wily but I suppose I am a veteran....I never to come to fan boards unless I'm somehow locked out of the board that has always been important to me,a few Rat homers, and of course, the intergalctically recognized home of Phin Phan Impervious...there are NO BETTER Phans than the indefatigable Phinneus Extroadinarius Phans I'be known for over a decade...THIS is big for me...I'm no troll..and I don't really hate the Rook,he just made the mistake of posting he didn't want Parcells before he was hired and NOW he's a full fledged kool aid drinker...just like I told him, a Dolphin hater for 30 years! You think I'm gonna let THAT go??? Only one thing has brought me to this point...in fact ...two things...Bill Parcells and I HATE RAT STOOL PIGEONS..I thought I'd never admit that the Phins winning the Bowl wouldn't bother me, but TODAY...I'd relish it...as long as that green rodent in NY gets what he deserves...a little harsh, I know...please forgive me,,,and I beg the indulgence of my Phin friends to log on and back me up as a non-troll...even that scary mary Rook who NEVER wanted BP as GM...c'mon Rook...me and Doriss...your house...for the bubble...don't menopause out now

One question. Will this be due to Favre and his 38 year old body not being able to hold up for entire season, not making the playoffs, or due to continuous blowouts resulting in "mop up duty" for Brett Junior?
As far as I know, the condition under which the pick becomes a 2nd rounder would be if Favre plays in 70% of the plays, AND the Jets get to the playoffs. It's not an either-or situation, both have to happen to trigger the 2nd rounder.

I just think that, for now, it's more likely that the Jets, coming off a 4-12 season, do not make the playoffs. That's my opinion, I'm sure Vegas feels it's more likely than not as well...so that's why I call it a conditional 3rd.

It's meant to be a rather minor part of the article. Those stats aren't even stats that I really pay attention. I generally prefer efficiency stats like Yards Per Carry and Yards Per Attempt, as opposed to total yardage and total scoring stats. I am actually a fan of the YPPA stat that Awsi Dooger has talked about in another thread.

Who is this CJ Parrothead? I should like to meet him.

And while I did cut my teeth on the Herald board, I don't know that I would say that I learned my football or my ability to write about it from that place. By the time I left, it seemed like nobody actually wanted to discuss football anymore.

As for meeting people, I never made it to one of the draft parties in NC but I'd have sure loved to see Ray Ray passed out, coated in Dolphins memorabilia.

I am not Jimbo. I am not Bill Ding. I am not Rook, Dupree, CrazyZach, RayRay, Verminator, Doc Love, Dupree, and definitely not Sporticus (TOOOOOOMMMBBBS). I am, was and always will be, ckparrothead.

Roth blew up the backfield in Kellers Boiler years. Just sayin......and I'm a Boiler.

LOL, looks like Armando Salguero also sees 16-14...except with the Jets at the long end of the score.

What do you think of CK's take on the game this week!
Wow...pretty thorough.
I mildly disagree on Chris's assessment of the Dolphins pass rush capabilities.
Improved nose tackle play will help create lanes for our pass rushing crew.
With no run defense last year, we were helpless to attack. Now we can.
Good stuff from Chris, though. No holds barred.
I also believe we win by 2-3 points, but if Favre is on, we could be in deep trouble, especially deep.
Go Fins.

man, we made thomas jones look like he was a good pro running back. 100 plus yards and a td. the run d was a major dissapointment. we were owned on both sides of the ball at the line of scrimmage imo.

brett favre had all day to throw.

didn't stop the run and didn't get much pass rush. recipe for disaster.
