"Most productive tight end in franchise history."

You'd think that he passed Tony G or something on the list. It's not saying much when there wasn't much competition.

We already paid his bonus. We can keep him all the way till April 13th before we must do something with him.

MOst teams would like to know by draft day what they wanna do. If this team was planning on drafting a kicker say Cosby in the 3rd or 4th then they might just cough up their 5th or 6th before or on Draft day for Mare instead

The best guess I can give you is that Mueller tryed shopping McMichael around and not a single team was willing to give up a pick for him because so many few teams were interested that those teams recognized there was not going to be a bidding war in the open market for McMichael's services.

I figure Mueller starting shopping Mare around and there are so many teams interested in Olindo's services that one of those teams may be willing to part ways with a draft pick rather than get into a bidding war with an opposing club in the open market risking the possibility of severely over paying for a kicker.

i am pretty sceptical of porter particularly his shocking character. he has alot to prove before i can accept him, but lets hope he absolutely rips it up on the field for us and earns his pay and stays out of trouble of it.

I love Dan's show on 790 the Ticket, but there's a lot he doesn't know about football. They might be the flagship station of the Miami Dolphins, but 90% of that staff has no clue. Just no clue.

He did shop him around, but every team balked. They awaited his release.

If McMike's signing bonus was in April don't you think he'd still be around? Of course! But one thing Dolfan's conveniently forget about trades is: "it takes 2 to tango"! We have so much fun speculating but someone else has to perceive the value to make happen. Linehan said he considered trading for McMike. He KNEW his talent but the signing bonus was only a few days after free agency began so he rolled the dice. He was on target: we cut him, they signed him, no draft pick given up. I really believe there's internal issues with McMike as well (head case). His new contract pays him $500K more than with us so it's a wash. Realistically, don't be surprised if puts up better numbers, but in his case and the same for Mare, this our good players that need a change of scenery. The Welker deal was different: just too good to pass up.

Forget anything Lebaturd says. He's biggest passion is homosexuality in sports. He is a sportswriter trying to be a shock jock on radio. He tries to be funny, opinionated & knowledgeable but he is neither of the three. Although when he has Frank Caliendo on his show, the show is funny because Frank is funny.

We didn't get anything for McMike because no one wanted to trade for an expensive TE who can't catch. Duh.
