Hmm thats a sad reason to let a guy go, now if he has regressed thats one thing but Zach still seems a top level guy.

Well Zach said he understood that it was the nature of the business and it's fine with him. I also think he said he's still a dolphin or something like that.

Still crappy to just cut him for his age esp when we had salary space and spent money on some lessser players. I dont agree with that approach. I mean seriously who was Zach gonna keep from developing. Just Zach being classy even when the team is not as classy with him.

Parcells never said that Thomas didn't fit the scheme. At his age, playing inside a 3-4 is ideal for Zach. It reduces the area he has to be responsible for. It's one reason why he was so terrific in Saban's 3-4 in 2006.

I saw nothing unclassy about the way he was handled. Parcells talked to him one on one, explained what was happening to his face, and most likely shook his hand at the end of the conversation. PLUS, he released him at the beginning of free agency, leaving him the entire offseason to pick and choose his new home. He could have traded him to a team of his choice, and got something. He didn't, he outright released him and let him choose his home. Thats as respectful as you can possibly be when letting someone go......

That changes nothing. Thats still one young guy not getting playing time, in lieu of an aging veteran, who, most likely, will have retired from the NFL by the time we are ready to make a legitimate run at the playoffs......

But the Tuna knows what he wants and won't settle for less. And if he wants bigger guys, there's no argument ZACH (please spell correctly Dolphin fans!) was a little on the shorter side. But I honestly think if Zach didn't have all the problems with his noggin last season it might be another story. But Bill walks in and sees an aging vet who didn't play the a lot last season due to concussions (plus the car accident a couple weeks after the initial injury didn't make matters better.) I think Bill didn't think twice. Maybe he would have if Zach was completely healthy. There is no doubt that a player at that caliber would only HELP us, especially this season. But the past is the past. I wish Zach nothing but the best of health and success in Texas. He is still on my top 3 all time NFL players and that won't ever change. But we gotta move on and that's life. Go Zach but first and foremost GO DOLPHINS!!!
