They ignore you?

Nobody did ignore you Daunte, everyone expected you to perform like any other player in this league. Now the only ignorance that I see here is you coming in public making these quotes. Many people supported you including myself but since you were bigger than life you thought you could make it past a tough injury then blamed it on the staff.

They Ridicule you?

Who ridiculed you in public? You had to prepare this quote for this press release obviously. A new regime came in and they knew you weren't going to be their guy. This happens to just about everyone but do they make it public and cry?

They fight you?

More like you fought them, you refused to accept trades since its the formal thing to do. Miami gave you a chance and they gambled. I don't think no other team would have given a second round pick for you but we gave you that chance. Thanks for being ungrateful.

"Now that I won my freedom I'm just like anyone else out there that is trying to find Employment"

Good luck with that quote, I don't think I can find someone unemployed this year that made 6 million last year.

I'm glad he is gone regardless, we don't need this locker room cancer anymore. He went out there last year and performed for 4 games and we did our best to get him the best rehab in south florida. We payed to watch him play and our team payed him very well for playing for us.

Bye Daunte
Great post here. What a bs quote coming from him. Ghandi would vomit if he knew his great words were being used by someone like Daunte to compare his situation. What a disgrace. His line about providing for his family is dumber than that one by Dr.Dre talking about people mad that he can finally afford to buy groceries. Daunte has plenty of money that he didnt earn. For him to act like he has just been through the worst ordeal and is trying to make it is a slap in the face of hard working americans who truly do struggle to feed their families despite working hard. What a joke this guy is. What a crybaby.

I guess it was something like a 5 hour haul for him to get to games and he and his family are moving on.

Some people think of him as a joke, some people have been downright cruel in their posts. I think that anyone that roots for Miami should be praised and not treated like a piece of garbage.

.
Then props to him for having been such a celebrity dolphan. But unless someone had been privy to this information then they would have no idea of his past. The post I commented on had none of this revealed in it. That's all I was attempting to point out. That post did actually sound as I initially was responding to.

But he does still sound a little over the top to me.

what are you talking about? he, and every other nfl qb(starter or not) better damn well believe they can be starters in the nfl, or they are worthless.

would you want green or beck to openly question their ability to be a capable starting nfl qb?

Opinions:

1. Culpepper is a disgrace in large part because he attacks everyone and anyone besides himself when the reality is that his knee has never healed and never will. You can say he rushed back to play all you want...he still made a choice to play...if he wasn't ready than he never should of called Miami to campaign for his signing in the first place. He is just one in a long list of players who can't face it when they are done...unfortunately, he is promoting his business in the public eye.

2. If, as suggested, he waits until 2008 to play...it will mean that he is played like 10 games in 3-4 years...Not exactly a great career move for a 31-year old quarterback with accuracy issues who isn't mobile anymore.

3. Coach Satan walked away scott free from this gargantuan mistake...who in football deserves to get a $30-$40 million contract for making perhaps the worst personnel choice in the last 10 years of Pro Football. He should go down in NFL history right there with Ryan Leaf as one of the biggest frauds ever.

well even if it didn't fit> him even knowing who Gandhi was and being able to quote him makes him seem smarter than many on this board give him credit for.

Not smart if it's not used in the proper context. Quotes can be found with a simple internet search and since he has had a lot of free time on his hands....

Culpepper qouting Ghandi goes to show just how much, or rather, how little class Culpepper has. How do you even begin to compare Ghandi's struggle to Culpepper's getting paid 6 million dollars to sit on his a** is beyond me. talk about being out of touch with reality.
