Excuse me, but that's crock. The Fins first said Daunte would get his chance to compete. Then they decide they want an older QB who played just awful last season and spend months doin' the two-step with KC to get him. When they got their new guy, instead of releasing Culpepper, they barred him from team activities as if he was a leper, and then expected him to renegotiate to accommodate the team.

The unprofessionalism and spitefulness -- and classlessness, too -- has been all on the part of the Dolphins. They treated Culpepper like something nasty they stepped in and scraped off their shoe. Just because football is a business doesn't mean that the Fins have to treat their players shabbily. If a team gets a reputation for treating players badly, it makes it a whole lot harder to sign FAs.

Honestly, what's wrong with believing he can start in this league? If a player in this league thinks he cannot step up to the plate as soon as soon the oppurtunity to start comes his way, then he shouldn't be in this league, or any other league for that matter.

I can now see why Minnesota wanted to wash their hands of him. He's a whiner and always wants to point the finger at someone. He needs to look in the mirror.

I find it ironic that DC was able to read Ghandi but he couldn't read a.... 'Defense' to save his season.

I see it differently. What does the orginization owe him? They simply chose to go in a different direction and wanted compensation. Daunte acted out of spite in his demands to be released and now toots his own horn in his Ghandi quote. If he was a good QB and healthy this would not even be an issue but he is not.

yea Daunte is so dumb that he forced the Dolphins to release him instead of waiting when they wanted to. For a really dumb guy he damn sure was pretty smart.

They ignore you?

Nobody did ignore you Daunte, everyone expected you to perform like any other player in this league. Now the only ignorance that I see here is you coming in public making these quotes. Many people supported you including myself but since you were bigger than life you thought you could make it past a tough injury then blamed it on the staff.

They Ridicule you?

Who ridiculed you in public? You had to prepare this quote for this press release obviously. A new regime came in and they knew you weren't going to be their guy. This happens to just about everyone but do they make it public and cry?

They fight you?

More like you fought them, you refused to accept trades since its the formal thing to do. Miami gave you a chance and they gambled. I don't think no other team would have given a second round pick for you but we gave you that chance. Thanks for being ungrateful.

"Now that I won my freedom I'm just like anyone else out there that is trying to find Employment"

Good luck with that quote, I don't think I can find someone unemployed this year that made 6 million last year.

I'm glad he is gone regardless, we don't need this locker room cancer anymore. He went out there last year and performed for 4 games and we did our best to get him the best rehab in south florida. We payed to watch him play and our team payed him very well for playing for us.

Bye Daunte
When I read this, I could only think of that skit that Damon Wayans and his brother Keenan used to do on In Living Color. The one where they would have a conversation using big words that made no sense at all. "Ahhh metamucil!"

Could someone please explain a reason to completely hate Culpepper? His play was poor (though not as bad as people make it out to be) and he only began to complain when he was not allowed to compete for the starting job. At what point did he do something to deserve such hatred?
Yea, what he said!

he lied to get on the field and "win games"? I think he lost most if not all of them...I don't dislike the guy, just glad he's not on the Fins anymore

At times Culpepper has been very good and the last two years, he has not. i chalk up last year to not being recovered from injury. Fielder went to an ivy league school and still did some stupid things on the football field. Football intelligence is not always the same as Academic intelligence

thank you dolfan like 2 god

you can't please everyone, and their opinion.

there will always be zealous dolfans out there regardless... and they are

thanks for the back up old buddy.
