Daunte trade idea

since it looks like D.C. will end up with the Jags.. why didnt we offer them a trade like Daunte for Donavan Darious becuase the Jags released him.

I don't think DD was on anyone's radar - even the Jags. He said in his press statement that he was rehabbing when they came up to him and told him they were going in a different direction and he was gonna go. I seriously doubt we were looking at their roster with the intent of picking him up.

The Jags told their QB's they were interested, at least at some point in Daunte. Plus I don't see why Mueller and Cameron would be so intent on trading him unless they're confident that they can get a deal done.

We don't know if there were any conversations between Wayne Weaver and Meuller, but I doubt that we are really that interested in Darius...At any rate, the bottom line is that DC, so far, has stated publicly that he will not renegotiate his contract and no team will take him at that price...

I'd traded DC for Greg Jones straight up. Yeah hes rehabbing a torn acl. Proir to him tearing that acl reports outa J-Ville had him as a back ready to explode.
