I don't know about about anyone else, but in the first post I was just relaying what others were saying, not just Theiman, but many other people, ex-coaches, players, media guys. I never said I trust anyone, I actually said how feel about Theisman and most media guys, but it's just cool to see that there's a buzz going around about us being tougher than people think and it's better than all the negative press we Dolphin fans are used to. They are reflecting my sentiments though.....

Once again, if you try reading the post again, I said what I think of Theisman and most media guys, but I liked that now we're getting some more positive press for a change from many others throughout the NFL, ex-coaches, players, media guys, etc....not just him.

Is it not ok for a fan to be optimistic and positive about the changes that have been made and from what he's seen in some pre-season games and practices, etc.... We were hopless 15 years ago, you guys have been hopeless pretty much all this decade which is why you have a new coach every year or 2 and why every time you get a new coach you think he's the one to turn you around.

Preseason doesn't tell us alot. Starters play 2 series game 1, maybe the 1st qtr game 2, the first half game 3. You cannot get in a flow and you aren't gameplanning. They are working on specific situations.

Brett hasn't sniffed a playoff win in years? He won a playoff game THIS YEAR. Anb example of "ahven't sniffed a playoff win in years" would be the Miami Dolphins franchise who has not won a playoff game since December, 30 2000.

The bottom line on all this is Brett makes the Jets better in the short term and by releasing Pennington it will help us be better in the long run. We had nobody to groom Henne and manage our games to allow all our young guys to experience wins / losses and comeback and tight game scenarios. Really McCowen would have been a disaster and Henne or Beck are clearly not ready, yet. The problem for the Jets is that NE, Pitts, SD, Indy, and the Jags are all better then them. This puts them competing with Houston, Denver, Cleveland, Baltimore, and Tennesse for the last playoff spot. Now alot of Phin fans would love to be competing for a playoff spot this year but with the direction we're headed in we will be competing for superbowls for years to come, while the Jets continue to go up and down year after year.


How a team could allow another team to improve so much by cutting a player was just plain stupid, one loss from us especially late in the year could cost them the playoffs. And we all know Pennington will be inspired beyond belief which always rubs off onto other teammates. Why did GB try so hard to get Brett out of the division? They clearly don't believe a superbowl victory can be had with Brett at the reigns, but one or two losses against an inspired Minn team eliminates GB from the playoffs.

So I say thank you Jets and good luck with your new QB because of you our season already looks better then expected and our future success is closer then ever.

Oh my God!! You just can't understand!!!!!! Try reading again, slower this time ......He and many others, ex-coaches, ex-players, media guys, etc....are saying the same things. It's more about the point that there's a buzz going around the NFL now which echoes what most of us fans have been saying and hoping. We're just use to so much bad press.
