In my nightly digging on this "lectric box" of mine, I'm fairly certain that Ricky will be as big or bigger part of the offense as Ronnie will. From what is being said about the speed and power he is running with and the coaches impressions so far... GOD I HATE THE PATRIOTS!! JUST ONE GAME THIS YEAR!! WANT TO SEE 34 PUT 180YRDS AND 3TDs ON THOSE CHEATIN @@@@s!!

I think he's done about as good as he can so far. Hope it translates to success on the field.

As a precaution, I think he will until Ronnie is healthy.
Ronnie wont be Ronnie until next season. I view Ricky much like a disposable razor...get what use you can out of him and then dispose....before it cuts you again... |

Wanny was the wrong guy and Cam Cameron was the wrong guy too. Saban could have possibly made some improvements but in the end he didn't stick it out.
All that said I am not happy with what Parcells has done with Zach and JT, he did have a much better draft than Cam Cameron did though. We haven't even played game one yet so it's hard for me to give the thumbs up on Parcells and Co just yet. After a 1-15 season to win 2 games is an improvement so it really wont take much to say we have improved. Now if we went to the playoffs I'd say I'm wrong and Parcells turned it around. You could make a pretty good team with the players we released or traded in the last 2-seasons. RB Sammy Morris WR Chris Chambers WR Wes Welker TE Randy McMichael RB Travis Minor DT Kevin Carter LB Zach Thomas DE Jason Taylor QB Gus Ferotte I think all but 2 of those guys were starters in the NFL last year.

I'm extremely happy with the moves so far. Everything that was done was well thought out.
But I must confess.... I thought we were saved when Saban was here as well. So, I'll wait and see on this one.

One thing I'm happy about is the O-line....this is the first year in a long time that I'm not looking at the O-line thinking there is only 1 or maybe 2 decent players.
I'm happy how it's shaping up.

I don't think it was possible to address all the problems and positions Miami was in need of fixing in one season.
Now last year if we could have signed WR Donte Stallworth and Safety Ken Hamlin, I think the gap would have been smaller this year. I agree the O-line was addressed which was smart since it seems with Ronnie and Ricky (backups Cobbs & Parmele) our running game is way ahead of the passing game. The defense which was for so long our saving grace now appears in limbo. I can't name a solid known commodity on that side outside of say Crowder. Joey Porter for the money he gets had a sub par year, outside of Holiday and Roth I can't name a defensive lineman. I don't feel Adoyle is an upgrade over Zach, our DB's need some pressure from the defensive line to be better. I just can't say right now I am pleased. Still questions at WR, QB, LB, DL and DB's. I need to see some wins. I like the fact that Parcells picked up some backups based on their special teams abilities, that could benifit the team. Maybe those 6 losses by 3-points last year will be games that turn in Miami's favor this year.

I really don't like Parcells' methods sometimes and how he treats players is horrible, but you can't argue with his results. I am still upset how he handle the Jason Taylor situation and I think trading Lorenzo Booker will come back to haunt us. Overall he will hopefully be the force that we need in Miami to fix the mess that Dave Wannstedt, Nick Saban, and Cam Cameron have gotten us into.

not yet, but hopefully soon. zach and jason were mishandled, and oddly mishandled at that. but the draft was money and gotta love the toughness that his presence will bring - so i am confident that i will like the new era of fins football.
