Anthony Armstrong has run sub 4.2 in the forty. He may be faster or as fast as Ginn too.

Chris Johnson may very well be the fastest player in the league right now, but he didn't break the record. Johnson ran a 4.23 (IIRC) while Bo Jackson ran a 4.12 at the combine.

He's not even the fastest guy on the team. It was mentioned last night during the game Armstrong ran a 4.1x at one point. Dont know if that is 100% accurate, but if it is, Armstrong would be the fastest in the league.

I believe if Ted Ginn is not the fastest man in the NFL we are talking hundredths of a second or so. You do realize Ted Ginn was invited to join the US Olympic team as a sophomore right? You dont get invited to the Olympic games unless you are one of the fastest men on the planet let alone the NFL.

Just my $.02

I'm pretty sure DeAngelo Hall got clocked at a 4.15 at VaTech in the 40, and they were saying last night that Anthony Armstrong ran a similar speed, like 4.18 or something in the 40, both of which are faster than Ginn's times. As far as game speed, I'm not really sure who the fastest is.

Get a load of this message board. They are talking about a rumor that Jeff Ireland has been in contact with Usain Bolt the world record holding sprinter from Jamaica to try and get him to play for the Dolphins.

I found it comical.

I dont believe Bo Jackson coudl run that fast tho... 4.12 is just insane for his size...plus back then they used stop watches...so u cant really take those numbers seriously.

I heard them mention anthoney armstrong being 4.1x speed...but that is just crazy

i also heard (maybe i read on this site?) that that guy bolt ran a 3.6 40...which is just insane

They use stop watches today too. That is what they used to time DeAngelo Hall with at V-Tech. They also use hand times, stop watches, at the combine along with an electronic timer to average out a player's 40 yard dash time.

Bolt's supposedly 40 yard dash time is someone dividing his 100 meter time by 10 and saying that is what he would run in the 40.
