You have to earn a birth on the olympic team and not sure that Ginn is fast enough but maybe as a hurdler if had worked he could have made it.

here are the recordshttp://www.trackandfieldnews.com/lists/all_time/prepout_at_m.html

His 110m Hurdle time was the record in High School back in 2004. It probably isn't now, but he set the record when he ran it. He ran a 10.5 100m in High School but during his freshman year in college he ran a 10.02 unofficial. OSU track coach Russ Rogers recruited Ginn to run track, believing that he could qualify for the 2008 Olympics.

nothing offical. No man is truly that fast on the elec timing and hand timing is way inaccurate. There are also reports of Loch Ness sightings but that is not proof

People saying Armstrong is faster is retarded. 40 times don't mean crap on the football field. Show me some highlights of him putting 20 yards on defenders after a kick or punt return. Thinking he is faster just from word of mouth is garbage. Darrell Green use to have the fastest game speed, now it's Ted Ginn.

That is a very accurate statement as far as the track coach and his 10.5 100 meter time. The 10.2 is just another unofficial hype time. I do believe he could have been a contender to run the 110 hurdles although his record was on 39 inch hurdles. He has never posted a 100 meter time that would make him olympic caliber.

My vote is for another former Marshall player Randy Moss. Quicker off the line, faster in the open and has 48 inch vertical leap. I would love to see Randy and Chad together again......... in a Dolphin uniform of course.

Dude, he does not have a 48 inch vertical leap...do you have any idea how high that is?? that is higher then Lebron James/Nate Robninsons/Vince Carters verticals

That would be close to impossible, not many people have the ability to jump 50 inches or close to 50 inches for that matter, and i doubt randy could

even with an article saying that he did, i still wont believe it

Randy has a nice vertical leap around 41 I think Chris chambers used to have the record at around 44 to 45 but it was broken the year before last by a player I cannot remember

Aren't all High School hurdles at 39 inch's? He ran the 13.40 with a -1.2 wind, so it could have been alittle bit faster. I know his 200m was in the 21 second bracket in high school, but I doubt that would qualify for state much less the Olympics. Track stuff aside, all I'm saying is that you put this guy in football pads and cleats and he is in the top 3 as far as football speed is concerned. I also thought I read somewhere that he and Anthony Gonzalez raced eachother in the 40 and Gonzalez won, not sure if that was accurate or not.

If any NFL player ran faster than Ted Ginn (at 10.02 100 meters) they would be in the olympics.

I guess he's never been healthy because he's had only one winning season in 7 years, that included 83 fumbles, 89 INT's, & 249 sacks. That's not elite.

Culpepper's like a 7-Up commercial, never had it, never will.

Was Culpepper ever Mobile? Culpepper sacked 249 times in 7 years; Marino was sacked 270 times in 17 years. You do the math.

P.S. If he's so good why is he still unemployed???
