finfan54 is an unknown quantity at this point
just one more thing. if we have a good draft and get a LT, WR and a PR. things really are not that bad if we stay with what we have. Mcnight has improved (fumbling still a prob 3 or 4 times a year) and our defense is still intact. we need a LT,backup QB, and a PR/KR. Our problem is the same problem every year, injuries. I say dont trade any draft picks and wait it out!!!

Zach already got his big contract, this is #2 for him. At 30 and at MLB you really can't compare the others contracts to him.

Just a point about why there's so much disappointment.

Wanny said he would start fast, make a couple of key signings and then sit back and see what else developed after the draft. That was plan A. Plan A failed. That's why we're disappointed. We weren't privy to plan B and so can't assume (or hope) anything concrete about plan B.

Coming on the heels of such a sucky end of season can't we get off the backs of those who want to wallow in a bit of self-pity. We deserve to.

Kudos to Clump who recognised early that our hands were going to be tied somewhat (cap jail rather than cap hell). Zach was the last guy I expected to stand in the way of this team being improved - disappointment at that is justified. IMHO.

But we'll get over it.

We're really not handcuffed, we just didn't want to overspend on Gandy. He's good, but he's no Pace.

We do need to sign some guys, the offers we've made to the guys we wanted were competitive w/o being outlandish. I want some guys as much as the next guy, but right now it looks like there a few other teams who just might want the same thing. As much as we'd like every player to sign here, we have to think evryone else dosn't wanna sign here as bad as we want them too.

I'm kinda biding this year out and hoping to get rid of Wanny and get new blood in here from what i've seen from him. Just realize we've gotten worse every year he's been here.(11-5 2nd rd, 11-5 1st rd, 9-7 no playoffs.)
