i am good on a 31 year old tackle with penalty issues. younger, people, younger. let's try and shore up the LT spot for 10 years and not 2, okay? i would take hamlin in a second. instant upgrade over what we have, he is young, and he can stay healthy. sounds like the trifecta to me.

We've got a decent LT with Vernon Carey. There would have to be a special player available in Free Agency or the Draft for us to consider moving him back to RT. I don't think Flozell Adams is that guy.

I just think us fans from suffering a whole year with bad safeties(maybe not Allen at the end) and watching the lack of talent are getting excited over anybody who we think might be a better option. I think we should wait to see our options before picking Hamlin as the man...In my opinion Hamlin isnt all that.

Yeah, I agree with that Hamlin is only 27 still so I if you gave him a 5 year deal he would still be in his prime and hopefully that is enough to turn the team around. Hamlin is one of those steady players you can rely on and I think we could really benefit from. Match him up with Allen and I would be happy enough. As for Flozell I really dont think we should be putting a ton of money in a 32 yo player.

I like the Sean Locklear/Jordan Gross/Travelle Wharton options just as much.
Even Max Starks if healthy. |

We need to sure up the OL. If it's one thing we learned in previous years. If the OL looks bad on paper, it's usually is.

How about we get some guys in here that can keep our QB's from getting concussed this year, and we worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Unless you happen to know where there's a 24 year old stud Left Tackle that we can sign who can anchor our line for the next 10 years?

well, someone.. Boomer maybe, posted some interesting facts.. like our guy Cary, graded out as good as the probowl selecties.. AND, he did it with little or no support from the left guard. No matter where you put Cary from now on, he is going to make left tackle money because he has proved he can play the position at a high level. I am not opposed to drafting a kid that can play left and right, like Cary, but not at the cost of wasting first pick value.
