Dolphins 1st choice at LT not looking good

What many perceive to be the Dolphins 1st choice at LT is not looking to good.

It looks like the Cowboys will tag him or pay him but FA is unlikely.

See:

Decision on Flozell looms for Cowboys at:

http://www.star-telegram.com/332/story/468231.html

"...Adams is waiting to see if the Cowboys are going to pay him for the future. He could become an unrestricted free agent Feb. 28.

The Cowboys might put a franchise tag on him (they have until Feb. 21) to keep him for another year until they can groom his replacement. Or they could sign him to a long-term extension or let him become a free agent. The latter is unlikely.

If the Cowboys designate Adams as a franchise player, he would be guaranteed a 2008 salary of $9 million."

Thats fine, then we sign Hamlin away from them as they cant franchise 2 pplayers, and look elsewhere for a LT..

And if they franchise Hamlin, we sign Adams away from them

Why does everyone want Hamlin? He's not even that good. Im sure he will be overpriced. He's just part of the Dallas hype machine and their pro bowl bandwagon. Plus, he did almost get killed in a bar once didnt he? Im good on Hamlin. If Dallas' secondary was any good they wouldve lost to the cheatriots in the bowl instead of taking the early exit.

Hamlin stayed healthy this past year, didn't he? Where was Y. Bell? Injured... I think Allen, Bell and Hamlin would be a good little saftey trio. We would have some good depth at the position, unlike last year. I wouldn't want to have to put Worrell back out on the field. Getting Hamlin and Adams would be ideal, but based on that article, it's not likely.

This is why I think that, if we can't trade the #1 pick, we should draft Jake Long. Good OT are tougher to get than good DTs or DEs.

Hamlin would be an instant upgrade over anyone of our safties and he has proven during his 5 years in the league he can stay healthy throughout the season, which makes him a better commodity over Bell

Let's stay away from Flozell. He gets penalties called on him all of the time. Not exactly something this team needs.
