There really are no elite teams in the afc this year. There are a couple of good teams, some mediocre teams, and alot of bad teams.

I don't want to jump on the bandwagon quite yet...but the thing is the AFC doesn't have elite teams this year!!! This is a good year to just be "above average" in the AFC.

I'm not saying it's impossible for them to pull off, but i think playoff standings at 2-2 are a little ridiculous.

When you were 1-15 the year previous and havent been to the playoffs in 6 years, its never to early to start having some hope.

I believe I have a realistic view of the Dolphins, and I figured we would probably only win 6 games this year...the thing is...I didn't think that two of those would be San Diego and the Patsies. This now brings up my possible win total to 8...that puts us on the edge of the playoffs...

I said after the first game...we would be playing the Jets in the last game to keep them from the playoffs...we might also be playing to put ourselves into the playoffs in that game!!!

From what I hear from the fans while I was watching the game on tv... The fans sounded loud and sounds like an eagles fanbase. lol It should be fun for the defense.

Don't mean to rain in on the parade--because I think we're a playoff team.....

We're not the sixth seed.

Teams with better %:

Bills
Steelers
Titans
Broncos
Patriots
Ravens

IF you go by # of wins and not win %, which makes no sense:

We still lose the first tie breaker to the Jets as head-to-head record is the first tie-breaker for a in-division tie.

Its a great way to end the first quarter of our "regular season", not wondering when we will get our first win, but OFFICIALLY improving over the year before. Standing at 500, standing tall and proud. The offense is starting to look formidable, with Pennington in clear control of things. I can't wait for next sunday.

8-8 would be good enough for me. One thing I do like so far is that with each win, the team builds more confidence and gives them a winning attitude, something foreign to these guys up until now.

The playoffs are possible, as I said at seasons beginning. However, we wouldnt be the 6th seed right now, and it really dosent matter at this point anyway. We still need to win 8 more games.

Of course it only matters after week 17. I am pretty sure we would be the #6 seed right now. First tiebreaker would be head-to-head, but since that doesn't apply given the # of teams at 2-2 it would be decided by conference record which would put the Dolphins in at #6.

From the looks of things a 9-7 team may sneak into the playoffs in the AFC this year. Then again, the past two seasons Miami had a 10-6 record they didn't make the playoffs. Going 8-4 from here on out is a possibility. Our schedule this year is much softer than it was last year.
