The Jets don't have anyone on their staff as good as Ireland. We'll be beating the Jets in the draft and on the field for years to come.

So he had a big game against Michigan well he stunk it up against LSU.

The jets spent the farm and probably screwed their future with this off season. It better pay off or Jet fans will riot and tear down the city cause y'all are crazy like that.

BUT you pay off is gonna have to start week 2 after the Dolphins win in week one
very well said. one thing they did is waht miami did wiht saban, they went for old proven vets that will only last for 2-3 years of avg play then out of no where u get the downfall we encountered.

First I believe Holliday had injuries last season...and Merling wasn't the 6th overall player taken in the draft....bad comparision. I didn't say anyone was a bust...perhaps thats the way you picture it really...eh?

Any player taken in the top 10-15 spots should be starting....thats why they are rated so high.

I said this from day one(even before the Jets drafted him), that Gholsten had the most potential out of any projected first round pick to become an absolute bust. This news about him struggling right now, does not surprise me one bit.

Pace conveniently woke up in his contract year, but looking at his pro body of work, as my buddy passionately argues seeing more than enough of him as a long-term Cardinals season ticket holder, Pace is far from an accomplished defender; now with a fat contract under his belt, expecting a "bounce" is at best optimistic. Not too many tears shed over his departure out in the sandy land of the Seguras!

ManGYNA will be fired just in time for Cam to become a head coach again

dude gholston is going to be a stud. like the jets fan said (and god do i hate freakin agreeing with anything that has New York in its name) Mario Williams was labeled a bust but now you have to gameplan around williams and creat blocking schemes to stop him.

I have to agree here for the most part. Anyone in the top ten, who gets a huge signing bonus, should really be starting.

Guys, Mario Williams is a league above Vernon Gholston. Gholston is a one more pure pass rusher while Mario Williams is the most complete defensive end to come out of the draft since Julius Peppers.

The Merling/Holliday and Henne/Pennington comparisons would be viable if these guys were drafted #6, as Vernon Gholston was. Not the same as a #2 or #3 pick. Worlds of difference, actually.

And please. Dont try and tell me that the staff didnt plan on him overtaking Bryan Thomas. He has not come along as quickly as they had hoped, which is fine, but quit feeding us this garbage about "the plan" not being for him to contribute in his first year.
