K - Mare used to be the kinda kicker that if got the ball inside the 35 we at least had 3 pts, but hasn't been that way in a couple of years. (upgrade ?)

There was a lot of talent, but no cohesiveness on the offensive side of the ball. It was evident in the first game. Culpepper looked awful, but so did the rest of the offense. It looked like nobody knew what the heck they were doing.
Please don't say we ALL drank the kool-aid. There are plenty of us who pointed out how crappy our OL and DB's were playing, and I was one of them. Here's an example:

I agree with the first part of this thread, our season will go as the OL goes. When I see them in pre-season, I'll tell you what I think. Despite what many think, you CAN tell A LOT about a team from watching individual players in pre-season.

NOTE: Shula almost always had winning pre-seasons.

I guess he's never been healthy because he's had only one winning season in 7 years, that included 83 fumbles, 89 INT's, & 249 sacks. That's not elite.

Culpepper's like a 7-Up commercial, never had it, never will.

Was Culpepper ever Mobile? Culpepper sacked 249 times in 7 years; Marino was sacked 270 times in 17 years. You do the math.

P.S. If he's so good why is he still unemployed???

I think the Bills are gonna be really good this year too. But I think the thing to remember for all the fans of teams in the AFC East: this maybe the hardest division in all of football. You put the Bills and maybe the Fins in the NFC, they would be playoff teams.

We both have to play the Pats twice. At least, you guys beat them every once in a while. The Bills never beat them. And the Jets (while I still think the Bills were a better overall team ) are still a playoff team and upgraded. And though Buf has been on the better end of late, those are always hard fought games.

So as much as it sucks to say, both Mia and Buffalo could be those teams that no one wants to play but don't make the playoffs. I hope I'm wrong though.

I'll tell you the one thing about the Bills that has helped them sooooooooo much, bringing back Marv Levy. Before they brought him back they just seemed to be in a tailsping. Since they've brought him back they just keep getting better and better. They lost a lot of defensive talent this last year, but I trust the guys they brought in will make an impact cuz Marv has a good eye for talent.
