The moment I heard pennington's name mentioned in the same breathe as the dolphins I immediately started crying and haven't been able to stop since.

I dont care much if he used to be a Jet...Today, he isnt, and most players are faithfull today to other kinds of green anyway (especially with incentives). If Brady was cut tomorrow by the Pats, I would be open to getting him onboard, we need the best guy behind center available, I dont want to go into another season looking as harmless as we did last year...

Pennington is being underappreciated just like Jay Fiedler was. Look, Pennington is not the superstar second coming of Dan Marino, nobody will be, but he wins football games. No he does not have a cannon, but this offense is going to be run heavy. He would be a positive influence in the locker room. Further, he is a class guy. He will sign every autograph, smile for every picture. I know that sounds corny, but it is valuable. This guy will be able to teach Henne a lot.
The trifecta would not bring him in thinking he was the missing piece to a Super Bowl run, they would bring him in to teach the young QB's what it is like to be a NFL Quarterback, because none of them have that experience, obviously even McCown. BP knows Pennington, Dan Henning knows Pennington, and he could be a valuable part of the rebuilding process. |

no offense fin-atic but that is one of the worst comparisons i have ever seen. they seem nothing alike in my eyes.
pennington = starter feeley = backup pennington = no deer in the headlight look feeley = lost pennington = has led team to playoffs feeley = no pennington = weak but accurate arm, smart decisions feeley = decent arm, but who knows what going to happen pennington = free feeley = 2nd round pick needed similarities pennington = white feeley = white

Cause no Miami Dolphin Fan worth his or her salt would be actually upset to see CP under center in wk 1 versus Favre and the Jets( I still can't believe that). |

what is Pennington so good at? The play-fake. If we are a running team, then the best type of QB to have behind that running machine is one who is a master of the play-fake. you don't need a cannon to toss the ball over the charging safety's head to Ginn on a skinny post after a great play-fake.

Quarterback ratings are overrated.

What then? He has a winning record, throws more touchdowns than interceptions. The list goes on. The only real negative is his arm strength, and we aren't a good enough team for that to be a major concern. Overall, he is better than anyone on our roster.

Im starting to think the only people who dont want CP is some of those Beck/Henne/Mcklown fans.Thats the only conclusion i can come up with.CP is way better then Mckown will ever be.That guy has sucked everywhere he's been. And as far as beck, the guy cant even go a few practices without throwing one to the D.And i played QB before and at practice i looked like Dan Marino during games i would of settled for Ryan Leaf, because during practice you know your not going to get hit.but whatever,my point is if you look horrible in practice then you'r probably going to look even worse in a game situation.Henne needs time to learn the ins and outs of life in the pros before you throw him in there, thats why i state my case for CP.What would it hurt to sign him and let him start or atleast compete.
