First time with the #1 overall pick since the merger. We had the #1 and #2 overall selection in the 1966 AFL draft.

#1 pick is exciting, but dissapointing to see on our history.Let's trade down and cover it up. |

Once, and it was in 1996.
Bills have had it four times since the merger and five times overall. The Patriots have also had it four times since the merger and five times overall. |

I don't believe the Packers have ever had the pick. I think their highest was #2 in '89 when they picked Tony Mandarich. I don't know that the Steelers ever have either.

From what I can see the only teams that never had a #1 are Denver, Seattle, Jacksonville (expansion) and Carolina (expansion). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._draft_choices |

Nah, they had it back to back in '96 & '97; Parcells traded out his first year in '97.

We've never had the #1 overall pick. This is the first time in the history of the franchise.
The highest before now and 2005 was the 4th overall in 67. http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/ful...2700&type=team http://www.databasefootball.com/draf...yr=1967&lg=nfl

Carolina went 1-15 the Texans expansion year, so they got the number two pick and picked Peppers. Even though they were the worst team.
