I am confused about beck????? - Page 2

If we were to release....just release someone...this shopping value is really annoying b/c other teams know we won't keep four.

As much as I believe that this "regime" will turn it around, the one thing I hate about Parcells is that he loves to blow smoke even on the most insignificant things.

If you are gonna dump one off, just do it imho.

i agree with that. imo beck is the only one who would have trade value limited as it may be. if the regime considers them pretty much equals that could well be the deciding factor in who stays and who goes.

i'd still rather have beck than mccown personally.

you dump one now you get an injury at qb tomorrow or in the other preseason games you've shot yourself in the foot.

that would be the only reason other than potential trade i would keep 4 qbs til final cuts

I disagree, sorry but the game is built on odds, you are telling me that we are so worried about losing a qb (keep in mind that Pennington is serviceable till Henne takes over) that would be a third string backup over taking a potential playmaker in another area we could improve in. I believe that would be shooting yourself in the foot.

Pennington is not exactly the iron man. Henne is not even close to be ready to start.

Noone is picking up CP cause he is trash, garbage, a waste of time. Beck on the other hand at least still has potential and that's why he's still on the team, he still has value.

That's why a team would trade for him (he has value) while CP is still out there for free (he has no value).

release mccown..... there's no reason to dispose of beck right now seeing how much we invested in him. McCown was a bad signing and hopefully this regime isn't too stubborn to realize it....... two moves that make me scratch my head are the wilford and mccown signings, but i won't use wilford against because im pretty sure everyone was excited with his signing. seems awfully similar to the thompson signing a few years ago though.
