Again, both teams stunk, however, Kurt Warner and Daunte have both had MVP type seasons in this league, so not beating them out on bad teams is no shame.

McClowns for McClown, does anybody have a stat that tells how many actual starters were playing last year during Beck's alledged "chance to shine"? This argument is to the point of rediculous. Better yet, who were at least backups? Where is GADO on the depth chart? He's in the president of the Beck hater fan club avitar.

No shame five years ago.............That's at least 16X5 fumbles ago by Cpep. OJ Simpson was an MVP before he went to San Francisco.

the best QB should be the starter, but i wouldn't start henne because you here how, if you start a rookie and he plays bad his confidence goes down but then again a good QB

McCown's problem has always been his decision making and accuracy. These will be the things that will keep him on the bench IMO. But if by some chance he can overcome these shortcomings, he could be a pretty good QB for us.
Actually the Cardinals finished with a 6-10, in a very weak NFC west. McCown had a qb rating of 74.1 while throwing 11 TD's vs 10 Int. Not the kind of stats that will lead a team to the playoffs.

the best QB should be the starter, but i wouldn't start henne because you here how, if you start a rookie and he plays bad his confidence goes down but then again a good QB doesn't let his confidence get the best of him no matter how bad he plays or if his getting sacked like crazy. so beck, mccown or henne could be the starter. I think beck will get the job because i just cant see mccown being the better QB but if beck can't run the offense with a better o-line, solid running backs, and not the best wide recievers, but good enough to get the job done, he isn't are guy but remember we went 1-15 so don't expect are record to be great with any QB that starts, but if things go right and every thing falls in place we maybe, just maybe get to the post season! ya never know.

If parcells can make the jets a respectable team, Imagine what he can do here!

I would say the dolphins depth chart is as follows

1a- John Beck
1b-Chad Henne
3-Josh McCown

McCown already has proved he does not have what it takes to be a successfull starter in the NFL, based on 5 years of medicore play in the leauge.

Agreed McClown will have to play head and shoulders above his past as well as what Beck and Henne do and I don't even think thats possible down here no matter who you put at qb. Unfortunately a turd sandwich is still a turd sandwich.

The obvious answer to why pick a QB at that time is to improve the depth of the position. Signing Dixon is like picking up Lemon or Lucas. It certainly doesn't improve the talent at the position. Isn't it obvious that if the FO didn't think Beck was the answer, then Ryan would be wearing a Dolphin uni instead of Atlanta Falcon one?

Not even close friend... and be saddled with that ridiculous salary..., and still have the other pressing need on the Oline...? Not a freakin chance...

Dixon was a strong choice beore getting injured during the college season..., he was smoking hot...! What amkes you think that they liked Ryan... at all...? It hink FLacco might make your argument stand up but it is a mute point as they found their guys... This isn't the quick fix that many presume...

You don't draft for depth at the QB 3# hole with all those other holes to fill until the later rounds...

you can go ahead and write it in stone that mccown is taking us no where. if beck isn't the opening day starter i'll be real dissappointed. henne would be better suited to wait a year at least b4 we throw him in the fire.

mccown isn't our long term answer. he's a journeyman so why waste time playing him when we have no idea what beck can give us.
