According to NFLPA, Worrell's base salaries are $595K in 2007 and $605K in 2008. With what the Sun-Times says is the signing bonus, the total value on Worrell's contract is less than $1.5 million. That's about par for what a veteran special teams ace makes.

i agree with you tiotally i was rooting for johnson to come here over worrell wen i saw that the 2 were being looked at by the phins, when i saw worrell was taken over johnson i was pretty damn disappointed.

I am going to agree wth King on this one. Look at the previous ST players we have had in the past, Izzo, Ayanbedejo, and they are pro bowlers. Worrell was highly regarded in Chicago as a ST player, not safety. Todd Johnson has more potential to start at Safety than Worrell, but they are 2 different types of players, regardless of stated roster position. No one ever thought Worrell would make the roster in Chicago, but he plays harder than most players out there on the field. He will play on special teams and everyone will realize how good of a player he is. I say instead of saying how overpaid he is, we start supporting our new team member.

It has been a slow day.

No disrespect, but I watched Worrell at Fresno State and the dude can flat out light people up. He has no fear and comes in with a head full of steam.
