Jets: It will be weird to face Chad

Chad Pennington, a member of the Jets from 2000 until his release Aug. 7 - when Brett Favre was introduced as the Jets' new quarterback - starting for the Dolphins in Miami in the teams' season opener.

Mangini attempted to downplay the Jets-Pennington meeting, mentioning that players change teams all the time in the NFL and that come Sunday, it will be team vs. team and not Chad vs. Brett looking for revenge.

Couldn't imagine the Fish playing against Marino, it would make me puke. I know Pennington hasn't had the impact for the Jets as Marino did for us but still it would have sucked. There was a rumour in his last year he'd go play for Minnesota if you remember.

LOL, I know that Bleed. The poster was responding to a post that asked if the Jets play Greenbay and he answered "no, we play the nfc west."

this game will be made out to be Brett vs. Chad, no matter if it should be or not, but if all reality I think Farve needs to have the better game for his team to win. Miami's running game is above the Jets

I think he meant 'we' as in, the AFC East.

You should feel privileged that a Miami fan would even associate the Jests with us in any way.
