No we don't need him. John Lynch is that guy on the field that knows the play is going deep but still gets beat deep anyways because he's too slow.

I may be wrong but I think HE walked away, meaning he is still under contract w/the donks. Unless Shanahan releases him I would not be willing to give anything up for thids guy.

As much as I don't want to believe this, I also think it's the truth. Lynch is a standup guy though. I met him in SD While I was valeting at the US Grant Hotel for St. Patrick's Day. He chatted with me for a couple of minutes. I congratulated him on the SB win, and told him I was a Dolfan from S FL. He was totally cool, I wish him the best. |

Safety is probably the one position that we have good numbers in, so signing a 35+ year old player doesnt really make much sense when he would cancel playing time for one of the younger guys.
No doubt about it Lynch has had a great career and is a model pro, I just think with the numbers we have a Safety signing Lynch would not make much sense when we are alot thinner in other postitions

Lynch will be 37 in 2 months. That's pretty old for a safety (who has to run fast on every play). It must be noted that Lynch has 9 pro-bowls under his belt.
However, 37-year-olds don't get signed until injuries on a team with no depth happen. If Allen or Bell get injured, signing Lynch would be fine with me (At 37, he's still better than Cameron Worrell). |

I don't agree with either one of those either.
