I figured since we're going to lose a bunch of games anyway we might as well get someone to teach our highly inexperienced safety group.

At first I didn't like the idea. Cleanse us of old players. But then again, if the 'bottom of the roster' aren't going to be players who will be here in a year, or two.. why not bring in Lynch, who will only be here a year or two. It buys us time to draft quality young players, and still have a more competitive player now to fill that void. even if he's the 3rd or 4th DB. I bet you he's likey still better than our 3rd safety.

Didnt we have a discussion like that last year when Donovin Darius got cut? Yeah, look how that worked out! Id rather bring in Terry Glenn and/or Najeh Davenport. I wouldnt mind throwing some draft picks at Terrell Suggs or Albert Haynesworth. If we do pick up players it needs to be in the beginning or prime of their careers.
NO HAS-BEENS! I've had enough of them!

He's too slow and is a liability in 4 wr sets that is why Broncos released him. Why would we want the liability as a starter?
If he wanted part time play which he doesn't I would bring him in for running downs only.

Haha with all the people saying "Make it stop." it's starting to sound like Triumph the Insult Comic Dog on The Gong Show

I know, lets sign: WR Mike Williams, S John Lynch, QB Quincy Carter, RB Najeh Davenport, WR Terry Glenn, LB Takeo Spikes, WR Chris Henry, QB Paul Smith, T Jason Capizzi, RB Eric Shelton. I heard they're all available

Lynch has some big hits left in him... I say sign him for 2 years and lets see what he has left... we have nothing else to loose - this year is going to be another disappointment as Big Tuna gets a feel for commanding the Fish.
Not bad as last year, but should be a solid .500 season none the less.

I think Lynch would be an upgrade over the 'bottom of the roster'. Especially considering the 'bottom of the roster' won't be around in a few years.

He would be an improvement on what you got now. However, the future of the fins depends on your young players developing and improving, usually through experience. Lynch would simply take up a roster spot for maybe 1 year and then leave.

people dont understand how important, morale, and leadership is to a team especially in a locker room... it starts in your head... if we have a very young team we definately need some vets and some proven players on the team regardless if they are in their prime or not... it provides support and confidence and knowledge to players who dont have the experience yet..
