MERGEDX2: Porter worried Career could be Over, might not be ready for Opener.

Like I said early in this thread, KFFL and likely the Miami Herald jumped a little early. According to the Sun-Sentinel, Porter met with a doctor and everything will be fine with a little rest.

While Anderson returns to the field, it appear that Joey Porter will be shelved until the regular Sept. 7 season opener against the Jets. Porter saw a specialist on Monday and they came up with a treatment plan he's optimistic will work. Porter said all the discs in his back are where they need to be, and that he was told his problems can be fixed with rest.

Sparano won't have him work with the team till next Monday.

While some people have this perception that Porter's just loafing, he told me today he had to beg Sparano to let him participate in the defense's second series of the Kansas City win, where he recorded a sack.

im not sure..after the game he just had against Kansas City youd say hes fine...but then this comes out...and your just left scratching your head...

He'll be used sparingly this season. Or not do any work during the week. well on the practice field work anyway.

I figured after the type of game he had against KC he would be really sore the following day. He was getting in there pretty fast.

oh so true Circumstances...i cant stand Salguero...he thinks he's high n mighty and everything he says is the gospel...everytime he comes on the radio in the morning i find myself changing the station, even his voice pisses me off lol...just another example of how much sensationalism goes into his work...

which is sad, because all i really listen for on talk radio is dolphin talk. if i can't stand listening to one of the dolphins' own beat writers when he's on the radio, how messed up is that?
