Buster Olney said he thought 3-13 because this would be a transition year for the Fins as they continue to build the bottom of our roster and then bring in more top talent in the draft.

So there really was no bitterness or biased they were just trying to be fair.
Hey look!!!! someone who actually listened to the show before spouting off about it. Believe it or not, Greeny actually was very PRO-Dolphins... He thought the Pennignton pickup was great and that Parcells usually takes a year to clean house before he is able to see a big improvement, but that he has faith in him and that next year we could be very good.

I know Greeny is a Jets fan, but he actually was pretty gracious when he was talking about the 'Phins, and come on people, is there ANYONE here who really thinks 5-11 is that crazy of a record based on last year? I sure hope we make .500 or better, but I'd sure be happy with a record somewhere close to 5-11 this year, atleast enough to keep us from being the laughing stock of the NFL again.

cause he was the stand in for Golic today. Guys like Olney, Kurjkin,Gotlieb, and a few others will occasionally fill in on Mike and Mike and they do know a lot about the other sports and not just what they mainly cover.

but I will say this, judging by the reactions of most people in the thread, they didn't even bother to listen and just thought the guys were being anti-miami. Far from it. The only time I ever remember them being anti Miami was during Saban's first year and he said winning wasn't important. Even last year they said they felt sorry for Miami fans because all of the teams that year were struggling, and weren't bashing or making fun of Miami. Some other anaylsts might (Jim Rome, Salisbury whose gone now, a couple of the 4th string guys on NFL Live), but Greeny and Golic are always pretty fair.

Two years ago, Sports Illustrated had us going to the Superbowl. I just don't by into any of these predictions. Hopefully we won't go 1-15 again anytime soon. I think somewhere between 4 and 7 wins is reachable.....it is just tough when we keep rotating QB's.

I mean, for every win a team gets, a different team has to lose right? Do they go in and make sure that there aren't too many wins, or too many losses overall for the NFL in their fantasy of what will actually happen than makes sense for a 16 game schedule with 32 teams? Or do they just pick a number they like for each team, even if, when you add them up, it leads to an impossible set of wins and losses?

I won't lose any sleep over the answer, but I thought I would put it out there.
256 games are played in one season so each conference will have 128 wins each.

Add the predictions up and if they don't equal those numbers, then they are wrong from the get-go
