So as a result his statistics aren't as impressive as some other players of his era. Warfield makes my team with Mark Clayton second, Mark Duper third and Nat Moore fourth. This franchise has really had some excellent recievers, it's probably our strongest position.

Manny Fernandez would be my DT over Baumhower. Manny was dominant back in the day of the no-name defense.
Manny was very underrated and played his best in the big games. However, just for the record Baumhower was a five time Pro-Bowl selection versus Manny's zero. Not saying Manny didn't deserve a couple.

How can you put Chirs Carter on that list (he only played one season with us) and not put Paul Warfield on that list?

How in the world did I forget about Nat Moore?! Man, this team really has had some good receivers over the years.

And dont forget Duriel Harris, he didnt have the stats of a clayton or duper but he brings back fond memories. The 90 receptions for 1,638 yards he had in 1979 was a thing of beauty. (and that was without Marino throwing him the ball.)

Wow how can Gadsden not even be mentioned. Not saying this b/c he is my favorite dolphin of all time but he was clutch for us from 98-02.

Look at who he is up against. Guys like: Mark Clayton, Mark Duper, Nat Moore, Paul Warfield, O.J. McDuffie, etc. Gadsden was good, but those guys are in a class by themselves

What would your team look like?

QB-Dan Marino
RB-Ronnie Brown
FB-Larry Csonka
WR-Mark Duper, Mark Clayton
TE-Keith Jackson
T-Richmond Webb, Jake Long
G-Keith Sims, Vermon Carey ( I couldnt decide on another G. so i moved a player i like)
C-Dwight Stevenson

Defense 3-4
DT-Tim Bowens
DE-Jason Taylor, Trace Armstong ( I couldnt think of anyone else)
OLB-Joey Porter, Brian Cox
MLB-Zach Thomas, John Offerdahl
CB-Patrick Surtain, Sam Madison
S-Louis Oliver, Jake Scott

No.

QB: Marino
RB: Ricky William, Mercury Morris
FB: Csonka
WR: Paul Warfield, Mark Clayton, Mark Duper, OJ McDuffie, Howard Twilley
TE: Keith jackson, Bruce Hardy
LT: Richmond Webb
LG: Larry Little
C: Dwight Stephenson
RG: Bob Kuechenberg
RT: Norm Evans

DE: Jason taylor, Vern denHerder, Kim Bokamper, Betters (Stanfill was good, too)
DT: Manny Fernandez (dominated Super Bowls 7 and 8), Tim Bowens (great when he was healthy, especially for a man with just seven toes)
MLB: Nick Buoniconti, Zach Thomas
OLB: Bob Brudzinski, Bob Matheson, Bryan Cox (even though his stay in Miami was relatively short), AJ Duhe
CB: Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain (garbage since he left Miami, though), Curtis Johnson
S: Jake Scott and Dick Anderson (best safety tandem ever)

P: Reggie Roby
K: Olindo Mare (This is the toughest to pick, Yepremian and Stoyanovich were both really good. Stoyanovich had a leg that was second to none--in both accuracy and distance--when he was in Miami)

KR: Mercury Morris

I stopped reading at Ronnie Brown. Seriously, at this point in his career you may as well put Karim Abdul-Jabbar in that spot. This franchise has had a few pretty impressive backs for you to be putting a guy entering his 4th season who has never even rushed for 1,000 yards in a season. Get real.

EDIT: Ok I went back and it gets worse. Ever heard of Paul ****ing Warfield. Come on man. This is YOUR all time phins no kidding. Then you had to go and put Jake Long on there who hasnt even played one ****ing down in a game that counts. Seriously dude. Then you couldnt think of players in a few spots. Why even make a list when you arent even familiar with many of the great players this franchise has had. I read the 2nd response who nailed some lineman out there and I couldnt go on. I imagine you got alot of help as the thread went on. Even SpaceMountain rolled out a good 6 or 7 lineman for you.

This is probably closest. To What I would pick, so, I'm going to use your template if you don't mind. I'm also going to add these players to the list as how they played "for the dolphins" otherwise, we would have players like cris carter on here that doesn't deserve to be. We are looking for the best DOLPHINS.

QB: Dan Marino (Duh)
QB2: Bob Griese (Probably Earl Morral would have made QB3)
RB: Ricky Williams (He has had the top 2 seasons in Yards and the top season in touchdowns. I watched this guy run for 210+ yards in 3 consecutive games. He's the best runner in a single season we have had.)
RB2: Mercury Morris (And he also returns kicks. Other than these two, Running back has been a horrible position for this franchise post 1980. Others would include: Lamar Smith, Ronnie Brown, Karim Abdul-Jabbar, Mark Higgs, Bernie Parmalee, Tony Nathan, Lorenzo Hampton, I mean this list sucks.)
FB: Csonka (who would also make the FB spot on the All NFL team as well)
WR1: Paul Warfield
WR2: Mark Clayton
WR3: Mark Duper
WR4: OJ McDuffie
WR5: Nat Moore
WR6: Insert average at best name here.
TE1: Keith Jackson (the 2 years he played with us he was great)
TE2: Jim Jensen (Crash gets the edge becuase of his versatility. Bruce Hardy is right there as well.)
LT: Richmond Webb
LG: Larry Little
C: Dwight Stephenson
RG: Bob Kuechenberg
RT: Norm Evans

DE: Jason taylor, Vern denHerder, Kim Bokamper, Betters (Stanfill was good, too)
DT: Manny Fernandez (dominated Super Bowls 7 and 8), Tim Bowens (great when he was healthy, especially for a man with just seven toes)
MLB: Zach Thomas (Every year Zach had a few sacks, 1-2 picks and about 100+ tackles. He leads the Dolphins in Tackles by double the next person. Nick Buoniconti is also a #1, but I couldn't find any stats to really tell me, compared to Zach how well he did. Plus it's really hard to compare the two eras. Either one would work here)
OLB: Bob Brudzinski, Bob Matheson, Bryan Cox , AJ Duhe
CB: Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain (Curtis Johnson, William Judson and Terrell Buckley would be next)
S: Jake Scott and Dick Anderson (best safety tandem ever and Louis Oliver and Glenn Blackwood being 3rd and 4th. Oliver is also 4th all-time in Tackles.)

P: Reggie Roby (What a stud he was)
K: Stoyanovich (Mare might have a slight edge above Stoy, but, I hated Mare for some reason. I don't know why. Probably 1A and 1B.)

KR/PR: Mercury Morris (Wes Welker would probably be my second. I hope Ten Ginn Jr can some day be considered here)
