I'm thinking they will be looking for best players available. With that, I'd better linebackers will be considered, expecially a pass rushing OLB. CB, WR, TE will probably also be considered. An area not mentioned is DT. Yes, we have Fergie now, but are they sold on Soliai? I wouldn't be a bit surprised if a DT is taken in the first three rounds if they believe he has a chance to be special.

I think WR will be the last piece of the puzzle for us, at least in terms of using high drafts picks or big free agency money.

If Nmandi isn't locked up by the Raiders during this season and is available next offseason, I think he would be worth some cash. That would take care of a big need for us.

It would clear the way to go heavy after LBs in the draft. I think we need a pass rusher the worst, but whichever talent falls to us first -- inside or outside -- I think is who we use our first pick on.

We need an upgrade at tight end as well.

I think it is way too early to start thinking about what we need for next year. It would be easy to say WR or CB, but the FO has been reportedly surprised by our CB's. i.e. the trading of Travis Daniels.
The exciting thing is we already have 9 picks in next years draft!!!

Front 7 front 7 front 7. Look how they targeted this area in Dallas in the draft.. Fergy is getting old and you can bet a NT will go early. And linebackers linebackers linebackers..

This regime starts everything up front and works their way back. A great front 7 makes a secondary look better than they are..

i say LB first;say if Rey Mauluga falls into our laps when it's our turn to pick,i'm betting Parcells snaps him up.then with our 2 second round picks,i say the best possible pass rushing OLB available and the best CB available, then i think the best WR available with our 3rd rd pick. from there,i'm not really sure, but that's my guess on the first 3 rds of our draft picks in next years draft.

we'll look for an elite passrusher or elite WR in the first round... if we can get our hands on crabtree make no mistake about it he will be our guy

the first four players drafted will be WR, OLB, OLB, CB ... you can replace maybe an OLB with a safety, i've heard the safety class is very good this year, Y Bell is injury prone and we don't really have youngsters at the position

I won't be surprised at all if they also target a RB somewhere in that 2nd/3rd area. That position is one of the strongest on the team right now, but if you look just beneath the surface you see that Ronnie Brown's rookie contract is up after next season, and Ricky's is up after this season. I don't think they'll make it a huge priority, but I think they'll draft one earlier than they took Parmele.

DolfanDaveInATX is an unknown quantity at this point
I think we'll go either for a linebacker or Michael Crabtree if we pick in the top 10, defensive back if we pick 11-20.

Definately gotta grab some CB's in this upcoming draft. It should be a pretty deep class too.

Parcells will NEVER take a WR early. He did it with keyshawn and said he would never do it again. You can find good WR's in the middle rounds

With the OL being as thin as it is, IMO they go OL first then DL and LB. WR can be picked up in the mid rounds. Secondary looks pretty good. First they need to work on extending Carey's contract.
