Next Year's DraftAs of right now I believe we have 3 picks in the first two rounds next year and from what I can see from the current team is that we have 3 positions that need to be addressed before we can make a serious run at this thing.
MLB CB TE/WR Probably a TE more than a WR which we could possibly address with a veteran like Roy Williams next year(We'll have cap room) Although we do have some stop gaps at these positions now, we sure could benefit by inserting some real talent into these spots. If we can use these three picks for these positions I think we can say we are building a solid young team for years to come. Who are some of the possibilities for these positions in next years draft class?

CB, ILB and WR-Top 3 picks. In the 3rd round we need to get OL depth. Maybe a RT if they don't re-sign Carey. He is a FA after this year.

LB,TE and WR might be tops on their list of big needs. CB/S you can never have enough of and we surely will get a couple. QB might even slip into their thoughts should someone they covet fall into their 3rd round laps. OL you can never have enough of either. We desperately need another OT to backup and if Carey is not resigned, it moves to the top of the list. We will need some more youth on the DL and LB's who fit the scheme. Of course, we will be huge again in free agency but probably less bodies but more extensive resume's.
Just keep this in mind. Parcells likes to bunch positions together when drafting ex: RB, DE (Hilliard + Parmale, Langford + Merling) |

It's very difficult to say what this team's needs will be next April. Right now, we need a WR, TE, OLB, and CB. But, we may trade a veteran or two this season. And we'll have guys lost and acquired in free agency. Our needs next April may be very different than what they are right now.

A speed OLB/pass rusher in the mold of LT or Demarcus Ware. He loves those 3-4 system defensive SPEED RUSHERS who's only goal is to get to the QB

Why don't we see how this season unfolds before we start talking draft!

I do think we see more skill players drafted next year. Unless there is a real game breaker out there I think Miami will still draft LBs and interrior lineman at the top of the draft.

I Think we might go Defense heavy. If you really think about it Our O-line may be set for years to come. All we have to do is get Roy Williams or Terell Suggs(we Pushed for a medicoer olb like Calvin Pace so there is no doubt we will go after Terell Suggs).
1) MLB (Rey Mauluga) 2) CB 2) TE 4) OLB |

Well, if Matthew Stafford ends up having another banner year and it turns out we have a shot at the first true "Franchise QB" since PManning, I don't think that option is, or should be off the table. Remember, Tuna's been quoted as saying that with the exception of Jake due to the structure of his deal, NO ONE on the roster is off-limits or untradeable

I'd like to see how both the NFL and College seasons play out before we start talking draft. But i think the Dolphins biggest needs going into next year are going to be:
1. CB 2. TE 3. WR (as in a big time number 1 guy) 4. LB So i'm in agreement with you guys. However until the season plays out we just wont know. Chad Pennington is very suspect to injury, and Chad Henne and John Beck (if he's still on the team) are still very unproven. It's not so unlikely that AGAIN next year this team will need ANOTHER QB as they always do.
