funny thing is, I would love it if we had that option here. I don't have the type of work where I could get away with "unseemly" photos on my desktop. Sometimes, even when I am not slacking off and surfing the web, but doing things relevant to my job, a photo can pop up and be bad news for me.

Of course, sadly for me, in about 2 weeks, my ability to really participate here will be massively limited (just when the good stuff starts) anyway

I've been thinking alot about this very same subject. I think the fact that Farve and Pennington are still so very new in the schemes it almost makes them sideplots, although the media makes them headliners.

The advantage New York has over us is their familiarity with their offensive and defensive schemes as a whole. They aren't dealing with another new coaching staff. They certainly are the media darlings of the moment. And the NFL soap opera of the year with Farve. I believe it will take it's toll on the avg fan in New York. They are just so no BS up there. Farves wishy washiness will grate on them. Unless he wins.

Our advantage is R&R. Pennington, or who ever leads this team won't be expected to win the game outright. I know people are complaining about checkdowns, but I'm almost tempted to believe this 'fear' has been a well orchestrated media anomly. We're going to see alot of dink n dunk. It may not be exciting. But after 1-15, if it brings us wins.. I'll take it.

Another point of interest will be our defense. The first preaseon game showed us all how vulnerable we really are. It reminded me far to much of last season how we were unable to get off the field. Im hoping it's merely 3rd stringers struggling, than it is a true reflection of our D. We'll see. Brady and Moss made us look silly last year, and Moss' 2 massive jump balls for TDs against us have been played numerous times in highlight shows. Our secondary needs to seriously step it up a notch. Something I don't think we seriously addressed in this offseason. At least 1 pick up in the back would've been nice.

Bess can become our Welker. Ne doesn't need to be big. Just reliable. Wilford can be a big blocking receiver. I don'tr expect more than that. I have a feeling we're going to be blizted alot early, so having big TEs and WRs to stay home and block will be key.

Unfortunately with one preseason game you can;t feel overly confident. Especially against the Jets. It's always a crap shoot. One that I am always leary of predicting.

2 things working in our favor: weather and a lack of game film (unknowns)

2 things working against us: experience and 'maybe' talent

50 / 50 for this 1st matchup ... but the 2nd one I'd probably give us the edge, because I assume the offense will mature as the season progresses.

I give us a 50/50 shot. We may not be as talented, but we have the So. Fla heat working in our favor for this matchup.

I'm excited for it.

And the Jets might also be confused with Pennington being here. Since they know he knows their style and plays, they'll try to change it up for that game, and will crash against each other. I can see us beating them

Remember when we were a lock to win every home opener? It all came crashing down in that Texans game.

But, I digress. I laid out my prediction in another thread somewhere...fins 23 Jets 20.

I feel very good about our chances of winning this game. If we can get some consistent pressure on Favre, he'll try to be the hero (as per usual) and force a bunch of throws. I also predict 3-4 sacks of Favre.

Pre-Chad/Favre moves you had a 20% chance to win, post Chad/Favre move it's up to 30%.

So your 4-12 team , pre Farve had a 80% chance of beating Miami in Miami? You sound like a Bill fan.

Are you saying Pennington gave your team a better chance to win than Favre will?
