When you rehaul a roster like we have. Had the type of inconsisten camp like we have had.. it gets kind of hard to start chest pounding. Can we win.. sure.. but Im not going to give a score. 1 point , 3 points, 10 points. I dont care. On the ground, in the air, I don't care. Dink and dunk, Wanny ball.. I don't care. I just want a win.

Right now Im looking forward to seeing some sort of cohesiveness in this weekends preseason game. Im not going to predict when we've not even seen Pennington on the field yet.

Preseason is 3 weeks away. Let's just hope we don't beat ourselves against the Jets.

Just break it down

QB Farve or Pennington

I would have to say this is a wash. But I could also see a slight edge to Pennington because IMO he will pick up the Offense in MIA easier than Farve will in NY. But again you cannot count out one of the best in the game at that position so I give it a wash.

RB Ronnie and Ricky vs Jones and Washington

I would be just bashing the fins here if I did not take your RBs here. I really think this is a real big edge as well.

OL Jets vs Fins

Well I have to say this is a wash as well. Though the Jets line was bad last year there is no telling what the fins will do with Carey back at RT, two new Gs, Second year Center and a Rookie LT. This could easily swith to the fins in the second meeting, just right now I have to say it is a wash.

DL Jets vs Fins

Here I would have to again say this could be a slight advantage Jets, with the loss of Taylor just not sure who will be giving the pressure for the fins, and the jets well hardly ever get pressure with the front 3

LBs

I have to give this to the Jets. Loss of Taylor hurts, The addition of Pace could be a good one and Gholston though with a lot of hype I think will be good rushing the passer. Than add David Harris advange jets.

DBs

Advantage Jets. Miller, Revis I just like the DB core in NY more than MIA, though being the first game could even this up.

ST.

Wash Ginn vs Washington both equally explosive, who executes better that game.

You notice alot of unknowns because of it being the first game. So for that reason I would have to go with the home team.

The Jets were already better than us....thus why they've OWNED us lately....and this before they added Favre....

They spent a lot of money adding some top free agents....Faneca, Kris Jenkins, Calvin Pace, etc....

They also had a solid draft IMO....but they had already drafted smart previously by addressing their offensive line (Ferguson, Mangold, etc.)

Unless we figure out someway to generate a pass rush....we'll get carved up all day...

The good news is that the Jets WR core is the 2nd worst in the division other than our own....lol.

Leon Washington always tears us up on kick returns and screen passes though...

The gap between the Jets and Miami got a big larger this offseason IMO...Miami is building for the future....the Jets are ready to make a run at the Patriots* now...

Playing at home is of no significance anymore for Miami...

Slim chance we win this one...

It's not like the Dolphins have ZERO chance of beating the Jets. I'd just say they have as good a chance of beating the Jets as they did the first game under Saban when they beat the Broncos. You expect them to lose, but they came out and played well and won. Again i expect the Dolphins to lose but it's not out of the realm of possibility for them to win. The Jets are hardly the Patriots. They are hardly a Super Bowl caliber team. Chad Pennington dissected the Dolphins over the last several years, and while Favre is probably an upgrade we don't know that he is going to be able to repeat Chad's success against Miami. Plus now we are fielding a QB who when healthy has proven he too can play the game.....In Miami in September this game is hardly unwinnable.

If i were to give a percentage i'd say the Dolphins had about a 42% chance of winning the game. I expect the Jets to win, they are certainly the favorites and it's probable that they do pull the game out, but certainly i wouldn't be shocked if the Dolphins won the game. It's should be a fairly close game as most of the Jet-Dolphin games are.

The Bills definitely have the best receiver between the Jets and Bills but I don't know if their receiving corps is better than ours. If it is, it's not by a lot IMO. We'll see how they look with a QB who can make all the throws tossing the rock.

Jets vs. Fins is always a tight game. It should be fun.

42% eh? Don't you think that's a little low? 42.5% - 43.5% sounds more realistic.

We won 10 games 2 years ago, we have been an every other year team. We were going to win 8-10 games w/ Chad and be a good team, a playoff contending team. The difference btw us and the Bills is we have proven it while Buf hasn't yet this decade.

Before you guys got Chad I thought facing Favre in week 1 was a big advantage for you b/c he only had a few weeks to get everything down. You getting Chad evens it up a bit but Chad has an advanatge in that he's a smarter guy(not that Faver is dumb but Chad has had multiple system changes through the years and played a year under Henning- well he was the 3rd string QB under henning) and obviously he knows the Jets O and D inside and out so that will help you guys which is why I'm more worried about the game now than I was before.

You forget you were 1-15? You forget just 2 years ago we were 10-6 and in the playoffs, you forget we have been an every other year team since 2002. Against the Pats you had 0% chance to beat them before Chad and now you have a 1% chance.

I guess that's why we have won 16 of 20 against you in the last 10 years?

When did Parcells decide to coach? You guys need to realize he's not your HC and he won't have a great impact on the field. he will in picking the players(which isn't a good thing) but he's not your HC and a year ago Cameron was the next great coach just like 2 years ago it was Saban. Let's wait to see Sparano have some success before you crown a 3rd coach in 3 years.

WHAT??? We are 2nd behind the Pats and it's not close. Coels & Cotchery are easily the 2nd best duo and the only reason they aren't #1 is b/c of Randy Moss. Moss is so much better than any other WR in the div he elevates them to #1 no matter who is his #2 WR.

Before Chad ever started against Miami we had won 8 of 9 against you and the last time we played you and crushed you Kellen Clemens was the QB.
