Pennington/Ginn

Not here to bash either one of them, but i just feel like they don't mesh well together. I think the quicker Henne develops for the Dolphins the quicker you'll see Ginn at his finest. I don't think anyone would argue Henne has a stronger arm than Pennington and would make Ted Ginn much more dangerous once he's ready.

Let me start by saying I am not a Ginn fan, but Pennington will not hinder Ginn one bit, I actually think he is going to make Ginn look a little bit beter.

He is a very acruate passer and has an uncanny ability to place balls in very catchable places. Will he be able to make the 75 yard throw down the field or down the sideline? propably not. But then again not many can.

He can definately make the 25-40 yard throw. Expect for him to catch ginn alot this year in stride on crossing patterns, thats where I see him being very succesful.

This is not related to the topic but I dont want to create a new thread... here is something interesting I read from cnnsi:

"Controversial Chris Henry, a potential No. 1 receiver, said he would love to join the Dolphins, but his agent said they are not among the three teams that have inquired. Henry has been suspended (again) by the NFL for the first four games and knows ''he has one last chance,'' agent Marvin Frazier said."

Watch the highlights of Ginn on Youtube. Many of his long plays are from YAC after a short pass. Penny will get him the ball, and Ginn can do the rest.

Why would you necessarily assume that? I would say Ginn is a lot like Coles as far as skill set, and he is pretty similar to S. Moss also, Pennington helped give them both pro bowl seasons.

I would have loved to have seen them go to the pro-bowl as Jets but they didn't. Both of them went to the pro-bowl but it was when they were on Washington.

I would expect Pennington to Ginn, ala Pennington to Coles circa 2002. Ginn will have a big year...mark the tape!

Ouch, Touche! but either way, they were both effective receivers while pennington was there QB, and that is the point i was attempting to make. Those two WR and Ginn all play similar styles.

Yea I watched those last year after we drafted him. Sure looked impressive. Thats impressive against college level talent, which most will never sniff an NFL field unless they buy a ticket. Ginn is up against the big boys now. The pocket in a zone closes alot faster in the NFL. Ginn has not been impressive at all in the NFL level. At this level, maybe the game has caught up to him? Oh I expect the occasional big play from him. But he is far cry from what I would call a dangerous big play threat. He rarely gets separation.

Coles and Pennington did well together, why not Ginn?

OMG!

Ginn and "Noddle Arm" have yet to play a game together and you have already established they do not mesh together.

Man you must be some super duper football knowledge that no one else posses because I would love to know how you figured all that out with out one game being played with the two on the same team.
