They'll run who will get the job done.
I thought I was the only one thinking that.

if he gets 1000 i'll be impressed. i don't think he's gonna get as many carries as some do with his knee and ricky and parmalee available to take some of the load.

If Ronnie is healthy, I see him getting 1055 yards with 6 TDs. Ricky, seeing that he stays healthy, will have 1095 yards with 6 TDs as well. Each will have 200 - 400 yards receiving. J. Parm. will add 300 yards rushing with a touchdown and we will have one of the best rushing attacks in the league. This will take pressure off of our starting QB, who will have an amazing year as a byproduct of the running game. Our defense will be able to stay fresh all year because the offense chews up the clock as a result of, none other than, the running game.

Talk about optimism, huh?

The way the QB situation is shaping up, we should just scrap the entire offense and throw in the Wishbone...

Ronnie and Ricky could have 3,000 combined yards rushing, and another 1,500 combined yards catching it out of the backfield I can see it now! We don't need no stinking quarterback!

LOL... seriously though... I see them working Ronnie in gradually to make sure we don't loose him again... I think it all depends on Ricky. If he shows up like we're all hoping he can (although he's let us down how many times before???) they may be more inclined to take thier time with Ronnie and let Ricky run for the first part of the season. I think Ronnie will have more of an imact in the passing game at first until he gets completely comfortable with planting and cutting through holes.

The more I think about it, the more I think it will be a lot like the 2005 season only flipped given Ronnie's injury:

Ricky 1000 yards rushing 300 yards rec. 8 TDs
Ronnie 800 yards rushing, 500 yards rec. 6 TDs

If, however, Ronnie comes back and proves he's 100% by week 1 or 2... then look out.

Oh I agree completely, that's why the end of that line says (although he's let us down how many times before???)...

I'm not by any means DEPENDING on Ricky... but Ronnie's neccesity in the backfield in week 1 most definitely depends on if Ricky returns to form or not. If he sucks or lights up, then I imagine the FO will try and get Ronnie on the field quicker than they would have if Ricky were to return to form.

If Ronnie plays like he did before he got the injury last year, I bet he gets over 1,000 yards in a hurry. He had a 5.1 ypc rushing average, 602 yards rushing, 389 receiving. That's 991 all purpose yards in just 7 games. That's pretty impressive.

He'd definitely have made the Pro Bowl if he kept that up and didn't get the damn knee injury. It would be nice to see Ronnie make the Pro Bowl this year, but I just want to the see him make it through the whole season without a major injury and help us win as many games as possible.

I bet if they give Ronnie 16-18 carries a game and 6-10 passes a game, he'll rack up some really good stats this year even if he's splitting carries with Ricky. As long as he gets adequate carries and receptions and he keeps his yards per carry numbers up I'll be happy. A 5.1 yards per carry number is definitely an elite level. That means the Dolphins are likely to be doing pretty good. Winning games. That's what I want.

Running backs these days aren't going to be getting 1,800 yards a season like they have in past years. It's just too risky to give your star running back TOO many carries. Too many huge, super strong guys out there with speed. It's "not your father's football" ... not when there are 300 lb. defensive ends out there with 4.7 40 yard dash speed. They aren't just monsters these days, they're ATHLETIC monsters. Most teams need two really good backs to keep the running game going at a consistently high level. I want to see Ronnie play at the top of his game, 100% healthy in THE PLAYOFFS this year! I'd like that as much as seeing him get 1,800 yards in a season and going to the Pro Bowl.

I like it. Optimism is a good thing. In fact, I think the TD totals will be more for both guys. Maybe double digits for one of them. The o-line is gonna be something special.

I think he'll break 1000 again, more importantly, I think paired up with a dedicated RW, and an training camp star name parmalee we'll have a very potent Rushing attack which at the very least will win us some games!

He will be very limited due to is injury. Look for Ricky to have most of the carries until mid way through the season.

It will be interesting to see if Henning can get Ronnie involved in the passing game as much as Cameron did. As bad as he was, he was awfully good at getting Ronnie Brown involved in the passing game.
