Did you really just quote your own blog, and cite it like it's some sort of news site?

Why not? Its standard protocol for linking to content from forums to other sources of content across the web. This practice isn't solely reserved for "news" sites.
And this topic incited a good discussion on the forum. Isn't that the point of messageboards, afterall? I never claimed this was NEWS or that I have any INSIDE INFO on the matter. It's an opinion piece just like countless other opinion pieces from PAID writers. Just because I don't work for a media conglomeration in order to distribute my content and thoughts on a subject, it doesn't mean my take on something is any less valid.
EDIT: Oh my, its linked in USA Today: http://content.usatoday.com/topics/a...42d2835fLcl9/1
Its also currently the 2nd listing for " Ronnie Brown" under Google news search: http://news.google.com/news?um=1&ned...q=ronnie+brown
Is it worth linking to now?
EDIT: Wow, its even the number 6 listing for "Miami Dolphins" in Google news search: http://news.google.com/news?um=1&ned...miami+dolphins
That must mean I'm on par with the Sun-Sentinel and Miami Herald now! lol. I hate to brag about crap that is inconsequential, but it just bothers me when people downplay bloggers because they aren't paid by someone to write something.

..Why does that matter? No one's brought it up for 4 pages except for you.

I think he could be gone but i don't think he will be.He doesn't seem like the type to go after the big pay day to me.
He seems comfortable here and to guys like him and Ricky that's worth more then money.

I will be super sad if he goes. He is my favorite player, just seems like an all around good person/player. I've also been following since he played HS Football here in Catersville.

I hate speculation crap, because they sometimes add fuel to a fire that would otherwise not be burning. Good job getting Ronnie traded

I am quite confident that the Dolphins organization does not take cues from the media or bloggers when it comes to operating their team. Perhaps the Dolphins under the stewardship of Cam Cameron might have, but not this group.
If the Dolphins want to keep Ronnie around, they WILL keep him around. No amount of speculative articles would change that fact.

I agree i think the pats and skins would be his most likely destinations. god i hope he would never join the pats.

Why would the skins pay Ronnie Brown to be Clinton Portis's backup. Portis is signed until 2012 and is basically the same age as Brown and alot better runningback to this point. They also have Betts signed until2013. The redskins make no logical sense whatsoever unless Ronnie is going to sign for chum change to be Portis's backup.
Also when has Bill Belicheck ever overpaid for any veteran player. Ronnie Brown is not going to get the pay he wants from NE.

I think if the Dolphins were planning on letting Ronnie go they would have drafted a rookie RB pretty high this year. I think they'll either resign Ronnie or franchise him and then draft a couple of young RB's to groom as his replacements.
I wouldn't be surprised if we used a 2nd and a 4th next year on RB's. Double up on them the way we did with CB's and WR's this year.

I see us franchising him, I doubt we resign him because he is going to want top runningback money and why pay that to a guy that is not.

The brown situatiuon could be like the Ogunleye situation. A guy that everyone likes and plays well but depending on the situation of contract, personel and the player we could see him being traded or just not kept.
I just hope we dont dump him and then pickup some teams backup that performed well in limited time.. But because for every Michael Turner there are plenty of Lamont Jordans and the rest of that bunch. If we get rid of him and get someone who is talented albeit not as good but still valualble for less money then thats fine. But if we end up shifting around all of 2010 trying to find a RB all season and every game someone else gets more carries than the next guy then thats a different story.

Ronald will be staying. We aren't going to let a guy like that get away from us. He is primed for another fantastic year. Earth shaking is my prediction.
