Talk to the defense and see who they think loast the game when the Colts had the ball for 14 min.

The defense sucked and so did Ginn when he had a perfect chance to make a play to win the game. I'm not sure...maybe Pennington should have put super glue on the damned ball.

the first one he should have definitely had, making the second one moot. the second one the defender was literally all over him pulling on his jersey etc. Ted Ginn is not a guy who is going to overpower cornerbacks, that's not his niche. There are only a few WR's in the league that would have made that catch, and it would mostly be based on a size/strength advantage. Ted Ginn has made his fair share of end zone catches that were impressive, lets not forget that.

Last i check if Ginn woulda made that catch we woulda had 30 points. Who cares if the D gave up 27,28,or 29. It would of been a win. So i put it on Ginn. He wants to be the no.1 guy. Then start makin the money catches.

last i checked, if our defense learned to cover tight ends properly, we would probably be 2-0.

First he's paid to catch the football...especially when it hits both of your hands...and please refresh our memories...what end zone catches did we miss? I believe he had only two last season.

Ginn has gotta make that catch . . . but I saw him make some nice catches on third down tonight . . . and he was getting decent seperation. He is the only guy that showed up amongst the pass catchers. He is our best WR by far, he has made some big catches in his career, I just wish he would have added to that tonight.

The only thing you can get mad at offense is the third and 6 call, and the last 3
minutes.

The defense, man did they look slow tonight. We are too damn slow back there . . . and the safety play has been blahhhhhhhhhhhh . . . I dunno, we gotta figure something out, because Gates is gonna kill us next week.

you're correct, it was only 2. but Ginn has never been a guy with problems catching the football. im sure he will bounce back. i wish just as much as everyone here that he would have caught that last TD. nothing could describe the jubilation we would have all felt at that moment. the entire forum would be singing a different tune.

It sucks that he didn't catch it, but while it hit his hands, the defender did play it well and hit ginns elbow at a good time right when ginn was trying to catch and pull it in, the hitting the elbow disrupted the catch. I dont know how miam loses with such time possesion, oh wait the horrible defense. miami really did not deserve to lose with the ridiculouse big plays allowed so quickly and easily by the colt. i know its manning buit still, just pathetic by the defense. Miami has to improve on preventing big plays and making big plays to handle tough teams to follow up

Last i checked we've went up against prob. 2 of the best tigh ends in the league. "Gonzalez and Clark" Our offense didn't show up in game 1. So even if we held Tony in check, we'd still be 0-2. Or 1-1 if Ginn make the catch.

Thank you you are one of the only people on this board that seems to have any idea on how to play the game.... It was a hard catch to make. One which is made by only the elite WRs in the league. People here just want to blame someone for the lose and hes the easy target cuz it was one of the last plays of the game. They dont realize that if we didnt waste 2 timeouts and 1 minute and 18 secind doing nothing with the ball chad could of gotten us closer to scoring and wouldnt of had to throw those passes

How many times have you seen Manning make BIG plays like that. Plenty ! So a defense tryin to stop it is ez'r said than done. We have a young secondary and they couldn't do it, i give you that. But Chad got us in position to win reguardless of how he managed the clock. Even if they woulda managed the clock better and scored the go ahead TD with say 1 min or more to go would you want the ball in Manning's hand knowing all they need is a FG to tie ? I think not. So if Ginn catches it with 36 sec. left i'd say they exacuted pretty good. But ginn failed us.

Yeah,I like Ginn but man,he is afraid to take a hit like a man!..Hes getting better I just hope he learns to make those big catches and learn WHEN to not take a hit instead of just being scared all the time to.

really they drove on us at the half with 40 something seconds to go to kick a fieldgoal to tie the game. With 3 time outs and 36 seconds he could of done it anyways to tie the game so whats your point?

After freaking out, being mad, and hating Ginn after the game I decided to sit back and relax. After relaxing and looking back on the game, there's absolutely no way you can blame Ginn. Yes, he should have had that catch. But there is no reason why we should have ever been in that position. You're looking to blame anyone, blame the defense. What a pathetic showing that D came out with, and had they done their job, we wouldn't of needed a scrambling 30 yard throw with a defender draped all over the reciever catch.

My point is its much harder to go down the field with around 30 sec. vs 1 min. or more. So clock management wasn't the issue.
