I've seen Ginn make tuffer catches than that. Gezz all that was was a jump ball and Ginn's hands were prob. 1 foot higher than the defenders.
Yes, but I haven't seen Ginn make a single catch like that when the game is really on the line. We've seen him make great plays early in games, and he even made a couple good plays that drive. Still, he had a bad drop not too long before and when the game was in hand, he choked.
Until Ginn actually shows that he can make the plays in big time situations, he's gonna be ridiculed.
Dude, Davone Bess was there for a sweet sideline reception to keep the drive going on second and twenty. It was a huge play. Bess, Cam, and Fasano weren't there because their number wasn't called. Also, Ginn was in single coverage which means that they may have been picked up by the safeties. If we would have handed the ball off to Ronnie and he would have fumbled, it wouldn't have been Ricky's fault and it's not the other receivers' faults because we didn't call their number at that particular time. Fasano was a goat last week and despite Ginn's good numbers, he's still the one who failed to execute when it mattered and he's a goat as well.
And maybe Ginn's YPC was low because he didn't make any of the several big plays that were there for him.
Umm, some of his catches were when he was the third option. On more than a few plays Chad stepped up and was scanning the field and guess who was open. Why not blame the guys who did nothing the entire game then the guy who kept converting third downs.
Again I'm going to say it, either catch would of been very tough, but they are catches I want him to make and think he should.
Bottom line defense played very badly and they lost this game.

Hey sirspud. i see your from Haines City. So is my Bro. and hes a Buff.fan. go kick his azz. lol
Yes, in his 2nd year, TO had 5 more catches than Ginn. So Ginn's obviously a bust. By the way, TO is not just a #1 WR, he's one of the all-time greats. Several true #1's had worse stats in their first 2 seasons than Ginn.
First this is Ginn's third season...but I don't care what season it is...when your taken with a first round pick...you're paid as a top receiver...you called the top receiver by the Dolphins...you make those catches.
If that was Gadsden...that would have been a TD.

I still believe that Ted Ginn will develop into a good receiver and become the game breaker that we need. Maybe we need another game breaker on the other side ala Arizona's pair.
Bess and Cam are slot/possession types, don't know much of Brian and Turner, but for 2 minute/quick strike offense with time Ginn will develop.
This was like a break-out game for Ted, except for that missed TD. Maybe next game. Hope fully Parcells and Penn saw some light and will call his #more, with confidence, the big plays will come.
Today's game showed us that we can really run. When was the last time that we rushed for over 200?
If the defense had stopped Peyton just once more, none of this would have happened and we all would be singing a different song.

Why trying, if you just don't WANT TO understand what I'm writing? Yes, Top recievers make those catches MOST OF THE F'n TIME, but not EVERY F'n TIME!!!!!!!!!!! What don't you understand about that?????
So? Owens still caught more passes and had more TD's than Ginn..right?
Just so you know..... Owens is not on our team (Owens and Moss both had drops of balls that hit them right in the hands yesterday). We have to play with the guys on our roster. You are wrong saying Ginn is not a #1 WR in this league. He IS the #1 WR on our team. I agree I would like to see a more physically intimidating and dominating WR as our #1 guy. However right now we don't have that. If we get that guy I think Ginn will actually be a better WR in our offense.
Constantly running the guy into the dirt will not make him any better or worse. However if you are blaming him for all or most of this loss then your hatred of him is clouding your judgment.

It's funny how the hate on ginn is mainly about expectations. He didn't draft himself no 9 overall and claim to be a top 5 receiver in the NFL. I agree the top receivers make those catches--he simply isn't there yet. He may or may not ever get there, time shall tell. In the meantime, he had a good game, so however pissed off you might get that he didn't make the catch, the fact we expected him to make that catch says more about some of our unrealstic expectations than anything else. Objective bottom line: it was a tough catch, he had a solid game, and maybe we should work to acquire a true #1 receiver.

Ginn could have made plays on both passes to the end zone, but let's not pretend that either passes were "gimmes" or perfect passes. On the last one, the DB pulled Ginn's arm right before the ball got there -- that saved the catch.
I'll bet Ginn wishes he had both those plays to do over.
But Penny comes in for his share of blame w. the absolute worst clock management by a pro QB on a hurry-up drive. Anytime you have to resort to PA passes on a 2 minute drive, that says all you need to know about that QBs skills.
All that said, this loss is NOT on the offense. The Wildcat saved the OL and Penny tonight, covered all their weaknesses plenty enough to win.
This is fully on our D, imo.

The defender did not pull on his right arm. He had his hand under ginn's shoulder pad. Go back and watch it. it hit both of Ginn's hands. plain and simple that was a very catchable ball. Pennington placed it perfectly.
Ginn doesn't deserve the blame for this game. You'd think he did a Leodis McKelvin or something. Try the defense, Clockington or Hennings carrier pigeon with the run plays in passing situations.

The defenders arm hit Ginns right arm and made his hand move to the left just before the ball got there. Everyone acts like that is a routine catch. That is a catch where you have to be able to out muscle the defender and would be a great catch...... yet all you Ginn haters who say he sucks think he should have caught it. Either he sucks and he should not have caught it or he is good and he should have caught it... you can't have it both ways.

I was just talking about the one catch, really, even though I do see your point. We've seen Bess, Camarillo, and Fasano (who is sucking royally right now) make those plays- not necessarily on deep balls but still, they've made catches needed to put us ahead in the game last year. Ginn had his turn tonight and he didn't come down with it. Of the games we lost last year, none of them were because those other guys failed to reel the ball in on a crucial play.
